Walpole is the sector body for the British luxury industry which is worth £81bn to the UK economy, supports over 450,000 jobs and contributes 3.7% of the UK’s GDP. A not-for-profit organisation, Walpole speaks on behalf of more than 250 of Britain’s finest brands including Alexander McQueen, Aston Martin, Burberry, Claridge’s, Fortnum & Mason, Glenfiddich, Harrods, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and Wedgwood, and is recognised in both Westminster and Brussels.
With a mission to promote, protect and develop the business of luxury in the UK, Walpole brings its members together to collaborate and connect. It also provides a collective voice for luxury on key topics, commissions industry-leading research and works with government on issues affecting the sector.
Walpole also spearheads the British Luxury Sustainability Manifesto, with the vision of making British luxury the global benchmark for luxury sustainability.
We all love to see a talented person getting ahead but building female teams ( 02:59 ) rather than just hiring the best available talent is a turn-off.
I saw your Walpole UK channel, your channel content is very good. But video views are not good. Your channel has some issues due to which your videos are not getting good views. The main problem is SEO.
As a senior architect in the UK, I am hugely inspired by the work of Thomas’ studio. He is leading the way in creative sustainable design and will no doubt excite and encourage many young architects, especially those who are trying to find there way.
From Miss Donna Marie Baff I get your product and think it's beautiful. My relative lives near Molton Chapel and this name jogs my memory for product and business excellence. Gabriel Coco Chanel died one Sunday in January 1971. One of her famous quotes. Fashion changes, style remains. Thank you
Amazing I would love to have someone like Thomas Heatherwick on a future podcast ep! Also, I myself as an architect would love to work for this company
Imagine a city of bubbles like sea foam along the oceanfront . For years I have wondered if deeply anchored dome shaped buildings would be able to withstand hurricane force winds. The recent devastation in Florida by hurricane Ian demonstrates the failure of flat surfaced angular construction to withstand high winds. A smooth surface without angles seems much more likely to survive the onslaught of high winds in hurricane-prone locations. I envision a dome shape with possible moving parts to be raised in fair weather and lowered in high wind situations. Perhaps even made flood proof from high water situations.
just don't eat there if you don't agree with the prices...you're not just paying for the produce, but their mastery and the attention to detail, the experience of eating in luxury. if you just want nice but cheap food, you're free to go to other restaurants.
LOL you would have a field day with the Scandinavian Michelin restaurants, if you think Core is bad. Also, Core features meat and seafood on the majority of its courses...of all the savoury courses, only one is vegetarian. Just because Smyth highly values sustainability and her produce doesn't mean it's vegetarian.
Good afternoon! Thank you for the interesting and informative video! It's always interesting to watch the plot when it's so well shot. Have a nice day!!! 😊 👍 🌹 🌹 🌹 🌹 🌹
You need to look internally at your quality control, I have 3 Bremont watches, 2 of which have been returned to you, one of which has been returned twice and you just returned it with a screw missing. Shocking quality!
Nothing British about it. It could be anywhere. Tragic when words are compared with observation. I can only assume the Millennial and nowheresville mentality has combined to create this. Where's the real wood, where's the craftsmanship, the grandeur that reflects British history and sense of permanence? This looks like modern furniture glued together with veneer reflecting contemporary design that is at home anywhere in the world. You cannot tell you are in London.
