On this homestead we do a little bit of everything. We work on vehicles, farm equipment, DIY's, farm & homesteading projects, work with tractors, & welding. We Hunt, Fish, mess with Livestock, Chickens, Fowl and Firewood. We work with tractors & a dozer. I've wanted to post videos on RU-vid to share my experiences and hopefully teach someone something that would benefit them. Thanks
The floor with trimming debris & or moisture will get slick, I put a heavy mesh rubber mat for stable footing. Don't trust hydraulics on a tractor with your life, I use safety stops on the lift cylinders & harness for the curl cylinders. I'm considerably older than you with 0 of my nine lives left. 10 foot fall can end badly
@kendrury3713 hi Mr Ken. Thank you for your input. I could definitely see the floor getting slick with debris. I honestly didnt give the tractor hydraulics much thought. Thank you for bringing it to my attention
Like the welded nuts on the back. Was there lock/star washers that went on the bolt? I would likely put some thread locker on the. I would loose em in all this rock!
Good Works Tractor channel did a review a while back, Vevor may have made some improvements since: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GnHQUQkZl6U.html
@@TheRustyGarageandHomestead OBTW: I have Vevor's 120/240v Plasma Cutter and it's awesome. Not sure of the long-term reliability, but for the price I could probably buy 4 for what my old 120v Hobart cost (that died). Kind regards
@steveboston6889 that's good to know. I have a cheap Chinese plasma in the shop still in the box. I don't remember what brand it is. I need to get it out and try it. Just haven't had the need for awhile
I've been eyeballing this cage to clean up some trees on my farm and other jobs which requires a big heavy ladder. I hope my wife still cares for my safety.
Ya gotta talk nice when your life is in the wife's hands😅. Good morning, folks. This basket is ideal for what you're doing around the farm. Much better than a ladder for sure.
Yes sir Mr Kenny. She did really good being her first time and she didnt kill me so that was a bonus. Really nice working from a platform than trying to do things off of a ladder. I see several uses for this thing in the future
Morning mike! What’s the deal with vevor? They kinda sell everything haha. I got a vevor hydraulic pump on my log splitter and it been working great all year. I’ve got some genni Wi-Fi cameras but they are not battery powered. Does the basket have a spot to clip in fall arrest harness? I know it not that high off the ground but that’s just how I was trained at the big tree company. Keep it between the ditches Mike!
Hey Mr Tony. Vevor sells all sorts of things. They have tons of option. Just seen the other day they now have chainsaws lol. The only think I can see on the basket to clip in and it's not technically a "Legal" spot to clip in would be around the handrail or on the headache rack. But no designated clip rail.
@@TheRustyGarageandHomestead everything thing I’ve bought vevor brand has been pretty good, even some 1/2 pex I got was vevor. Seem like they have everything lol.
Mr. Russ I think you are right. as I was editing, I was thinking of several other uses that I didn't mention on camera. I think it'll get used more than I originally thought.
Is there any security cameras that are solar powered or have a small solar panel built into the body of the camera so this would become a NON TAMPER CAMERA AND WOULD BE FAR BETTER TOO
Hey Mr John. I know blink has a couple solar options for their cameras. I would like to try some out one day. I'm sure there are some other manufactures that have a solar option as well. Thank you for being here sir
Hey Mr JT. That was where I first seen it. Then I seen it in person one day and it did look better in person than on video. Glad to have it. I'm sure it'll get used for all sorts of things in the future. Thanks for being here sir
Awesome to see your wife on the tractor. I used to use it a lot on our on grid property and still do when I have to lift Jason way up in the air so I've gotten used to the controls. It's a bit nerve wracking when you're lifting up a human. Lol. She's doing incredible! ❤
@toddcaskey9984 fingers crossed we get some rain. I know I've had wheat seed sit in the ground for a few months before we got any rain and it still germinate nicely
@zekerivera8652 lol the disk does really good for the most part. If it wasn't so dry it would cut in good. I am curious what model is it. This one don't have any sort of i.d. tag on it
@@zekerivera8652 I've got a 315 15'. My hitch is a triangle of square tube. And have 22" blades, heavy damn thing. All my 95hp wants for sure. Won't use it in plowed ground.
If you were buying new, would you buy a 170 and do these upgrades or buy a different model with upgrades already done. And if so, which model? I’m looking for a new good homeowner chainsaw is why I’m asking.
Hi PJ. I honestly think eaither saw would make a great homeowner saw. I'm in a different situation since I already have a 170 i would buy a 170 just because if I needed to I could keep the same parts for those saws. Idk how much the parts are different for the 180's. I have honestly never ran a ms180 but I know alot of people like them. Alot of people like the 170's. To me this ms 170 has cut things I shouldn't have used it on. The 170 I own works great and has cut a ton of wood. I like using it over my other saw's because it is so light and it's always been reliable for me.
Hey Dlawson. The ones that go inline with the radiator hose are fine. They work and will still warm things up. If that's all you have access to it'll be fine. I prefer the block heaters just because the heat source is close to the cylinders constantly and I feel helps keep all of that warmer vs relying on the heat being drafted to them. I hope this makes sense.
I've been running one of these clones (Ozito (Rebadged Einhell) dark green) for 15 years now...besides maintenance, replacing the fuel lines 2 or 3 times and new chains and bar...it still rips and starts 2nd pull cold. It cuts all my wood for my home fireplace and camping wood too.
Hey Procrastinator. That's good to know. I wasn't sure what this saw was a clone of i haven't had other name brand ones next to it to compare. That's good information i hope this one hangs in there for along time.
