windows : can it run crisis? linux : can it run tuxracer? i still have the original tuxracer on my storage drives XD i also got jazz rabbit and yeah linux ran that way easier then windows did since windows was a pain
Half of the PS5 pro reveal was an ad for the base PS5. They didn’t talk about all the new features, they didn’t show gran turismo in 8k. They’re just trying to sell more base PS5s.
Wow, a lot of weird stuff must have happened between RX 500 and RX 7000 series. I didn't even know this was an issue. 90% of my stuff plays well with AMD, which is why I stay here. The rogue 10% is always lifted AAA titles and weird software that causes issues so severe that it hinders general performance. UDNA sounds like it's going to be a winner.
Man, finally one of my subscribed channels says something reasonable about the price (including: not costing Sony 250 more to make this). Thank you for not being a corpo bootlicker.
You mean my thumbnail from the Video Sony DMCA'd? That's FP16 w/ Dual-Issue, and it's in documentation I leaked that has been confirmed by multiple outlets.
The thing that bothers me about developers winging about the series S capabilities. So that before the Xbox and PlayStation were closer to PCs as they are now. Developers were making PC games that spanned loads of PC hardware, so making games for the S is basically the same thing. They just like to winged because, they don't want to put the work in they have to on a console as they do with PC supports
Look up recent news - not as much as you think, and a lot of it is being diverted to TSMC and SAMSUNG (since they actually make products that work with taxpayer dollars).
I mean, is not only because of hardware, they are crazy if they’ve ever thought we’ll purchaised a game console, w/o disc driver, and vertical stand…they are totally out of their mind thinking people are stupid enough to buy this….right???
I believed you until you mentioned that your data comes from a company linked to Sony. VGAChartz. Nobody has exact data on Xbox sales. I imagine that using your sponsor in a deep search you found random users talking about possible specifications of the PS Pro, I don't believe you have contacts within Sony. It is already customary for many youtubers to search Reddit for topics to keep an audience on their channel.
so theyre going back to a gcn-like architecture? isnt the fact that gcn was for both gaming and compute why it was typically less efficient than nvidia's offerings?
You are very wrong about inflation. Inflation doesnt only happen in eggs and milks. 1 tonne of copper was 5000 usd in 2019. Today it is 10.000 usd. And ps5 is literally partly made of copper. (Cooler, pcb) Silver, gold also nearly doubled in price. They printed 7 trillion dollars and 8tr EUROs in 2020. So yeah ps5 Bill of Material costs have risen against dollar/euro. How many grams of gold you could buy in 2020 with 550 usd versus now? Also ps3 era 500 600 usd is worth of 1200 1000 usd today... Inflation means price increase over time for currency. But its not only for rents and grocerries. If US dollars lose value. Your property price will increase in USD to retain its real value. Thats why house prices go up. Actually its a nominal increase. Not a real one. Compare against GOLD.. you wont see huge jumps. Ps5 pro is more expensive to make than ps5 in terms of dollars. Because dollar lost its value. When you print that much money you have had to create same ampint of GOLD COPPER SILVER IRON COTTON FOOD STOCKS OIL ETC. Which is impossible. We cant create resources. So your point is very wrong. The real problem is US dollar lost 50 percent of buying power since 2020. So 1000 in 2020 is 1500 usd in 2024. And all items will soon be adjusted. But prople who earned 3000 usd wont magically get a bonus and earn 4500 now to cope with inflation... so you are poorer now. Thats why ps5 pro is insanely expensive. No its not. We got seriously poorer in 4 years. If people who made 2000 usd in 2020 and today made 3000 usd , wont be crying about the 800 euro console. That s the sad reality
Linux has been the "superior" options for years. But it's simply not going to take off, it's not mainstream enough. The typical pc user isn't going to care as long as their PC runs programs and apps...that's it.
They are just sitting out this GDDR6X and GDDR7 market for 2-4 years (if you count the year that they already have) because the AI craze has demand jacked up
is it because of core isolation and virtualization based security that is present in windows 11 and not so much in windows 10 that is causing performance issues..
i think its correct this is the only way to see a high end AMD card again but i dont think we will ever get a RX6900XT moment where AMD gets close to the crown with a architecture like that. I will be more like Vega. It was decent for gaming but far from optimal because it was datacenter first and not that efficient in watt/mm2/fps compared to the competition RDNA with its gaming focus optimizes in that area. With UDNA it will be like zen = Datacenter first and if it games well we are in luck if not well it is what it is we have to deal with it. The question now is would you rather have a 500-600 dollar GPU that is well optimized or the option to buy a 1000 dollar GPU that is 25-30% faster with less optimization. Im not really in the market for that expensive GPU's anyway let alone 2000 dollar GPU's. But i also come from a time where the Voodoo Banshee just launched that was the first GPU i bought myself. So this insane price kreep is going a bit to far for my linking. The price gap with consoles is increasing every console generation. Yes PC's are faster and more capable than ever compared to the consoles but you have to pay big $$$$ for it. For me personally a way cheaper PC is enough to enjoy games. I dont need to have everything on ultra anymore. I will just tune my setting more with my heavy undervolted 6950XT (that i bought used 1,5 years ago for 700 and is just using 170 vs 335 watt stock performance is similar to a 6800XT). And i can always turn it up a little if i want more performance. But running cost power wise are now very low. In the summer less AC is needed when gaming.
30 fps is fine for slower paced walking simulators like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter where its not an action game and is all about losing yourself in the visuals however games like that seem to be few and far between.
The main culprit is Direct X here. Even series X is lagging behind PS5 because of it. It must go away in the future gen. The cheaper, lower end version like series S is always a great idea in my opinion.
I'm a little confused about Lunar Lake with LPCAMM2 RAM also coming out. Lunar Lake has integrated RAM on the chip and there won't be DIMM or LPCAMM2 space with Lunar Lake laptops? ... or am I not understanding correctly? What CPUs can we look forward to with LPCAMM2 laptops?
If they unify architectures and have one card for both markets wont that just make the value and price to performance for any one of those markets hard to provide?
