Our Destination to the DESERT of ARIZONA all began in May of 2020! Andy and I had always wanted to live somewhere warm and we fell in Love with Arizona! We truly wished we would have started our channel back in May of 2020 making the Big Trek from Minnesota to Arizona but...we are enjoying ALL of the excitement, adventures, struggles, and FUN!! Hope you enjoy it as well. Just remember Anything is Possible.
God Bless and Thank You for being a part of our Destination in the Desert!
I have an ARE Z2 on my 24 F350. Total $5k POS. Supposed to be the top of the line. That fit and finish is crap. Big divets in the paint, cracks, the fiberglass is $hit, all wavy, pock marked, places where it wasn't painted at all, freking window screen wasn't attached in places, they over torqued the window frame and bent the moulding. I can't say enough about the lack of quality with the ARE Z2 topper.
Checked this all the way. Nice! It does look like a lot of choices. I'm a high sierra rider myself. Granite slab and the smell of pine trees. Keep on riding... 2many
The XR 400 is looking good with all the new 96 year correct color fork boots, tank decals and seat etc. looks cool. 96 year color scheme was one of my favorites. Shame about the scumbags littering through there though. Only takes a few like them too ruin it and get areas blocked off from public use. How's the 400 compare to the 600. I've never ridden a 400 only the 250 and 600 models. Always wanted to try the 400. Does it seem smaller to sit on than the 600?
@bush600r2 Thanks man I like to try and make them original. Agree 100 percent on the scumbags... The 600 is more comfortable and plush for longer rides where the 400 is more of a dirtbike feel with the narrower seat. I want a 250! What do you think of it? I need the whole collection! 😁
@@DestinationDesert cheers for the reply. Umm to be honest I haven't ridden the 250 model in about 15 years so I can't really remember it's comparison. Yet I'll get back to you on that cause I'm heading 7 hours south with my XR650R on November 16th and a good mate of mine has a 96 XR250 which he's owned for over 20 years and we going to do a day trip up into the local mountains and river beds down there so I'll make sure we switch bikes for a decent bit and I'll get back to you on that. His ones fully original, even got the original white steel handle bars. Be pretty cool alright to own a 250, 400 and a 600. well your most of the way there mate 😉👍 Do it! 💪😃
What camera are you using currently? Is it capped at 1080p or can it shoot 4k? When I changed the video quality in my playback settings, 1080 did look crisp if that brings any reassurance!
@@LiveWellWhileLiving Perfect! Glad it’s sorted out! Would you be interested in joining for a Florence to Superior breakfast ride?! A couple of us are running from the river bottom bar and grill to a restaurant in superior and then filling up and running back!
You've barely scratched the surface out there. Some of those 2-track trails up in the hills (mountains) can get really gnarly. I can tell you're gonna love the openness of desert riding compared to MN, if that's where you were from. Some of the old structure ruins are from past mining. There's a ton of history out there! Have a blast!
Nice tidy old 600 mate 👍. Looks like it's in it's element around all those cactus and desert country side👍 is this some place in the state of Arizona? Cheers from New Zealand PS: I've just subbed, only cause your doing videos with a XR of course lol 😉. Keep up the cool videos👍
@bush600r2 Thanks man! She is a fun ride. I do live in Arizona, It's a great place to open it up. Always wanted to visit New Zealand, heard it's beautiful there! Thanks for watching
@@DestinationDesert Yes NZ is a great place to ride as well, heading out for a quick ride this afternoon on my XR650R up the local hills where I live. I thought it was Arizona👍, I lived and worked in Arizona in 2008 for a 6 months seasonal work driving semi's, I was based in Chandler a suburb out of Phoenix. Me and a work mate rode up through country exactly like this through to grand canyon and back around through Sedona valley back through to Chandler when we had some days off, was an amazing trip incredible scenery. Actually went back to the USA in 2010 with a mate hired Harleys in LA and rode up to San Fran then around through sierra national park to Vegas and back to LA we did that over almost 2 weeks, Another great trip and scenery. Such a huge diverse country you live in. Can't wait to get back again one day. I think I'd like to buy a Suzuki DR650 (longer service intervals) over therev next time and ride from one side USA to the other spend a good month or so and do it properly, would be amazing but it's all dreams at this stage😃. You'd love NZ too for a vacation mate, if your into your outdoors i guarantee you'd love it. PS I think my favorite bike is the 600R as I've owned three over the years, they seem to suit me best I feel, only have the 94 model left now and it needs a top end rebuild at the moment. The whole XR range are great though. Wish we got the 650L over here, I see you guys can still get them new over there. I think they would be pretty close to the 600R as you'll get now days anyhow.
@bush600r2 That is awesome! I live just east of Chandler right next to the superstition mountains. It sounds like you have some memorable excersions! I've never driven a Dr650, always liked them though. I have my 600 and 400, would like to have the whole collection. Need the 650 and 250. It never ends! Lol . Take care brother and twist the throttle for me!
Fun slooow ride ...I'm 63 rode 55 years I still love to rip,am recovering from 10 broken ribs was back on bike at 3 months, doing well so I still rip 3 days a week my lungs are what's holding me up also still on pain meds but I'm rideing ,it hurt like he'll, don't break 10 ribs I recommend .love it.
@@DestinationDesert I like the 230F better than my 300 2stroke for hard to me enduro. But for an all around trail bike the XR is the best I've found for me. I've spent way to much money & time trying to find something better. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--kvalT4B0Gg.htmlsi=8HIiWsYdpx-HEw1l
@@staninokla My father in law from Wisconsin made it for me. We chatted over the phone with this idea and came up with this system. It turned out great!
