Extremely fouled throttle body? It could be caked with carbon and other crap, failing to open on demand when trying to accelerate. Could also be carbon build up on the top side of the valves, notorious in direct injection engines.
@JonathanRios-e9n allegedly thr PVC hose was cracked which fouled one of the new plugs. I'm pulling the replacement plugs and doing an oil change next week to see if Cylinder #2 sparkplug is coated in oil again. If so, I've got a cylinder problem no matter what the dealer says.
Thank you for the video when I decided to save myself a lot of money ( the quote that I got for a 14 by 16 deck including a sanding job was $2,000!) I decided to have family apply the stain for me. I already purchased this product so I will keep in mind about the difficulty cleaning it (maybe I will put down some runners along the walkways after the deck has dried) The home Depot paint specialist said that you can apply the same product over the existing job as touch up a few years down the road once it starts to peel and fade so maybe that will work if anyone is experiencing the same fading or peeling too early.
Just sand it down to bare wood. I didn't do that and many of my boards were rotten. If you find boards and their last legs, I would rip them out and replace them. Then apply the stain.
My tractor starts very well but when I want to start cutting the grass, the tractor starts to want to turn off and starts blowing a little black smoke, I pull the lever back and the tractor works fine only when I lower the lever when I want to cut the grass. lawn any ideas I don't know anything about tractors
Your belt may be loose but that wouldn't cause the black smoke. Belt removal and replacement is easy but you have to jack up the tractor and remove the deck. There should be a diagram under the tractor showing how to route the belt. Change the oil and spark plug. Don't overfill with oil.
@@dougmatkins Previously I had it fixed because the belt burst and they put a bigger one on it, they said there was no problem and it lasted like a year until they started doing this.
2018 CRV here. Same exact problem. New injectors, plugs, PCv. Acts just the same. Please post w the final solution. If I find a fix for this. I'll post it to this comment section. also. CRV does not have a fuel filter. its a screen in the fuel tank.
Well. After compression, fuel and exhaust leak tests which all passed, the mechanic went back and pulled the 4 new plugs. One was totally fouled. Looked like it had never been changed. He claimed it was a faulty defective spark plug. Looked like oil mixing with gas in the cylinder to me. Testing it for 500 miles and then pulling the plugs to check if clean. I'll post Part Deux when Ai figure it out. Happens again, the engine is getting rebuilt or the CRV is getting traded it.
I agree. Constantly cleaning footprints. Took days to stain and now have to powerwash to get footprints off that cone back as soon as the water dries. Looks good when first done, but after a few weeks of traffic...forget it.
That is just a nightmare with deal with. Honda aren't reliable as it used to be with the turbo and cvt. I am sticking with Toyota NA engines for long term ownership.
Talked to the actual mechanic. He ran a compression test on all 4 cylinders twice. All close to one another and spec. Ran a fuel pressure test. Passed. Ran an exhaust leak test. Passed. He took it back for more testing. Pulled one of the "new" plugs. It was totally fouled. So I'm thinking 1) they never actually changed that plug, 2) there is a valve or cylinder issue that's allowing oil to mix in the combustion chamber for that cylinder or 3) really was a defective spark plug. Going to pull the plugs after a week of driving and reinspect.
Thank you so much! Just picked one of these up off market place...the guy even showed me the handle adjustment while I was there....got home, and, that info did Not store 🤣🤣🤣 Cheers to you for the answer!
Great! Hopefully, you can figure out what caused your arc and your fuse to blow. Turned out I had a weak battery. Once I installed a new battery, it never blew again.
Just bought this and cant get this thing past 350. Usually stays at under 300 with a full chimney of charcoal. Even with all the vents open. Starting to regret this purchase 😊
I stopped watching videos where people bragged about making a Hugh profit off junk mowers because they have raised the price of junk mowers to double or more 😢
A bottle of SAE-30 is literally $4 at Walmart. Change it once a year takes 3 minutes. It will save you $200-$400 down the line. I have to change the oil in my parents lawn mower and snow blower because they are like your neighbor and will never change it. Their lawn mower is now 7 years old and still running. They were buying a new one every 3 years before i started changing the oil for them.
Just watched your video thanks for the info. My mower will not start it just makes a backfire noise so soon as it gets daylight I’ll clean the carburetor. I hope it works. I’ll let you know. Thanks again.
It's a little fiddly but just take your time. Take some pictures before you remove parts and start disassembling. May save some reassemble time. Amazing that a tiny piece of dirt or grass can clog a carburetor. Why they don't put screens over the gas tank I'll never know.
Working again for now thanks. Btw, it would have helped to have seen how you pulled the little white assembly out of the body and returned it. Just saying. However I do realize you needed both hands. But after an alternate video I got the jist. Anyway. Other people listen up. As you tear down any piece of equipment photograph every step. Keep your screws, nuts and bolts separate per step and don't lose them. You'll do fine. Thanks again for the video it was a big help.
Just had same problem with GT2000. For some reason there was a 15 amp fuse in it and when I stuck a 7.5 in it, it fired right up. Won't run with a 10 amp. either?? Runs fine with the 7 5. Any idea what is going on???
It is actually easy once you get use to it. Took a few tries to get it down. But it locks tight. You just have to line it up right. The carafe will break or explode at some point so go ahead and buy an extra one or two. The original one has glass that is way too thin. I broke mine early on but I have heard they explode as well. Amazon sells several that fit and they are not expensive.
over time it will get 'easier' but it will still have resistance. there needs to be a tights seal to keep the water going down vs out of the sides. Do make sure the cup and tabs are free of errant grounds. you want metal to metal contact only.
@bethakabetty I ran into the same problem. I let it finish the coffee and then SLOWLY open the reservoir after a 10 second wait. Add 2 ozs of water and reseal the reservoir. It only takes about 10 seconds to start making steam again. Then you can froth as long as you want. Be careful. Shut off before you unscrew the reservoir and wait 10 seconds. It will be under pressure when you open.
@@dougmatkins Thanks so much for the reply. I thought I was going to have to get a different machine. So nice to know it's going to work! I promise to be careful too.
I didn't fix it. I had a shop diagnose and repair it. Since the sensor got replaced, we haven't had an issue. Cheap part. Don't think it was $250 even with labor. Probably easy DIY.
Yeah not sure what happened there. I was fixing a couple of mowers and mixed up the videos when making this one. The air filter wasn't worth cutting up. I never did cut up the air filter cover.
LOL Clown guy @thekurtabryan 🤡 YOU SHOULD just not comment and/or watch his videos then. The man posts a video for FREE to help troubleshoot riding mowers, look at the other comments he helped a lot of people, myself included. Please think before posting ridiculous comments in the future. Best Regards, - all of youtube
froth and creamyness is dependent on several factors. type of grind, type of coffee, hole size in cup, number of holes in cup, and finally, the amount of pressure the water is being pushed through the grounds...
IMPORTANT! I own a Craftsman 8200 Pro Series 46-inch lawn tractor with a PTO. Make SURE when you are about to shut off your tractor that you DISENGAGE your PTO. Otherwise, IT WON'T START, unless you DISENGAGE the blades!! I did something I have never done before. I was starting to cut my lawn but hadn't rolled up my lawn hose. Rather than locking my brake and disengaging my blades via the PTO, I just turned it off. Luckily, the Small Engine Clinic guy asked if I had disengaged the PTO (which I normally ALWAYS do) and voila! She starts!! 😊
Okay. I'm an idiot. There are four oxygen sensors. The B1S2 is the downstream O2 sensor. I needed to replace that one. As soon as done, it works fine!!! See my other video.
Fiskars StaySharp Max Reel Mower ru-vid.comUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend This is what all push mowers should strive for. It was easy to push. It cut the lawn. The blades are sharp, very sharp. The one minus that everyone should be aware of is you need to be very careful taking the cutting unit out of the box. There’s a plastic guard so you don’t cut fingers as you take the main unit out of the box but it’s not taped down. As I took the unit out, I ended cutting a piece of my shirt. The plastic guard moved and my shirt touched one of the blades.
Thanks for the tip. I am not confident that this is the problem on mom’s mower because periodically when I try to start it it will barely turn over by a fraction. Also, it does click so I am assuming that the solenoid is ok.
@@dougmatkins Thank you for the feedback. I hooked the battery to a charger/analyzer and it showed 95%. I fully charged it back to “Fully Charged” status and it does the same thing. I don’t think that the click I am hearing is coming from the Solenoid as it is very faint. So my status after fully charging is it will not turnover or click. Battery is 2 or 3 months old and fully charged.
Does it really only work with a medium or coarse grind? I bought this machine on Prime day along with some finely ground Italian coffee but then read the instructions.
My Behr semi transparent wood stain performed horribly on my fence. It flakes off really bad where the sun beats down. Im in San Diego, CA where the weather is nearly perfect all the time. Behr sucks. I dont care what Consumer Reports says. Its still in the warranty period, so I contacted Behr and they offered to send me a new 5 gallon of their horrible paint. How about paying for my labor too!??
Couldn't agree with you more. While I admit I did not totally sand it down and remove all the old stain 100%, it should not have flaked and peeled like it did so quickly. Didn't even last 2 years.
@@dougmatkins You did a stellar job trying! I need to paint my fence again and I don't know what brand of paint I'm going to use because obviously all the ratings are phony.
Same thing happened to me with my craftsman riding lawnmower. I have changed the battery, solenoid, ignition switch and wire harness. Just changed the fuse and still no click? HEEEÈEELP!!!
@tonysanford848 So no click means no power is getting to the solenoid. You changed it so we know the solenoid itself is good. Google sears parts direct and no click riding lawn mower. You will find a video on how to test it to find the short from your starter to your solenoid.
Swithc on my Craftsman and the 20a fuse, burned out. Got a new ignition switch and put in new fuse and it started/ran great for bout 2 min then motor quit and switch was smoking and fuze burned out again. Wonder what's happening?? Thanks
