In egghead arc every time franky going do something but Zoro or sanji interfere take momentum I think franky have something we still don't know (May be copy of ancient weapon)
Probably the reason why is that despite that being how the story goes, a different reason is the fight lasted 10 days if I remember correctly. If we ever had a fight that lasted that long then we'd be exhausted and start making very crucial mistakes. Akainu is ruthless and Aokiji, despite being able to freeze magma, made a mistake and it cost him heavily.
