Hi, welcome to Designs With Paper. I am a wife, mom, cookie baker extraordinaire, and crafter. My craftiness was cultivated at a young age watching my mom do everything from gardening to counted cross stitch. Eventually, I found my groove with paper crafting: scrap booking and card making. Now I dabble in a little bit of everything-mixed media, home décor, card making. I love stamping, creating with my Cricut, and art journaling. The only thing I really don't like is sewing. :) I created this channel to share my love of paper crafts and hopefully you will learn one or two new things along the way.
I actually really appreciate how you leave in the "blooper reels" 😂--I enjoy plenty of cardmaking channels that always have that picture perfect professional feel, but at the end of the day this is more relaxing and I end up leaning more tips--like seeing how you started with the one paper and changed your mind and the card improved. (and yes I always cut down into my magnetic mat on my mini empress too!)
Great cards - I love them! Fantastic that you really encourage us to use what we have or substitute it with something else. I love these types of videos that aren't trying to push new products. Thank you so much for sharing 😊
Thanks! I can't take credit for the press and seal trick. I saw it from Jennifer Maguire and Kelly Taylor. But I love those crafty tricks that make life simple. Thanks for watching.
Working my way through your videos I like your brushes found this one very interesting I do have some stencil but have never used them they came with magazines 😊 🏴 I have subscribed
I enjoyed watching your video. This is my first time watching your video and I truly appreciated you taking time to add dimension of each cut off paper pieces. Looking forward to see more videos you create. Also I loved how you choose affordable hobby lobby paper pads 👍
@francesinglis6078 a good rule of thumb is to step down each layer by the same amount. None of the sketches I used had measurements so I guessed 😂. But I think precutting is a great way to start.
what is the black and white mat u are using?? I have wondered what they are, and your the first one I have seen use it. I have a problem with getting things straight, it looks like that is what your doing , do you do tutorial on supplies? have found you the last few days, dont think I have seen your channel before, I love your style! I dont have cutting machine and dies, too much money and more stuff! so I really like your style , I do have a ton of embellishments and cut outs and lots of paper pads and cardstock, I also love paper, gotta quit, ridicules. will watch you more to see what your doing. thanks
I love the mat because it has lines to keep my card straight. It the fiskars quilting mat. Pattern paper was my first craft addiction. I have a couple videos that use only paper. And I'm sure I'll have another one soon with christmas paper. Thanks for watching.
Wow, great idea color and crime. An interesting unsolved crime story. Cute card, I like sloths too. I used to do a lot of my own coloring, not so much anymore, and I miss it.
Beautiful card! I thoroughly enjoy your stories and look so forward to your videos. And yes, that was my first thought too....maybe Sarah had some hand in the crime.
Thanks. Detailed scenes are indimitating. I choose to not spend time trying to get the shading just right. It's the only way my brain will let me be happy lol.
I purchased this bundle, I got it a few days ago, and of course, looked up inspiration and came across you, which I am so thankful I did, such cute cards, and gives me lots of ideas. I don’t like the cost of postage going up but everything‘s going up, I’d much rather postage went up then the price of food. I do like trying different techniques, but I love layering stencils a lot.
