We’re not cool moms, we’re regular moms. And none of these things we’re doing came with a guidebook. Join us where, in every episode, we dive into topics you’re probably also wondering about on a daily basis (like, how much screen time is really too much, why no one told me my body would start doing this after 35, and does it REALLY matter if my apples are organic?).
I already knew Kallie’s story bc I’ve been following along for years… I am still crying listening to her story about infertility. I was going through it simultaneously and I remember when I saw a later than you typically see baby announcement for Miles, I just knew. Because that was also me🥹 My kids are now 3.5 and 2. I would never change having done 2 under 2 even if I could. I LOVE it. It has its challenges, but I’d rather just add another one to the mix and watch them grow together sooner.
Y'all I stopped folding baby clothes with my first 😂 I discovered that for me a big part of learning to enjoy motherhood is learning to let go of so much - the laundry, the mess on the floor, when the baby sleeps, how much the toddler eats, etc. - and cultivating a mentality of consciously enjoying the time with our kids while they're little and all the stages as they grow ♥ We want the chaos, bring it on!!
Enjoyable podcast ladies. Keep them coming. Make sure to cross post to draw in more followers. I heard about this today from Kallie (who I adore) but couldn't find where she linked it so I just did a little search and found you. I've already listened to both podcasts. I can tell the Peaks and Pits will be a hit!
Great first episode :) A related topic I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts about is maintaining friendships when you're not in the same phase of life. After having some fertility issues, I was the first of my good friends to have a child. It has definitely been a struggle with them understanding not only the realities of parenthood, but how being a parent changes you.
