What does scraping back of electrodes do?

@@snapfly7 it allows electric contact to work.. a lot of these clocks, the buttons won't work: this is the fix

Mould king is great for technic, and easy rc systems. Battery boxes still going strong. Intergration with lego is perfect. Happy with overall product

Does this stuff connect straight to Lego aswell? If I buy this for my son it will eventually end up in bits and will be useful if it can mix with his Lego box. Thanks for your help
