OK but what about progressive overload?? I currently use 5kg dumbells and a 5/10 kg barbell for my strength training. Do I need to upgrade to heavier weights or can I gain muscle with these weights?? (I've been using them for like 2 years now but inconsistently)
You will get bigger if yiu lift heavier weights that you struggle with, end of discussion, do not listen to this guy who is built like a super noodle telling you how to build muscle
Thank you for sharing. I started lifting and lowering more slowly in control, and in 3 weeks, I definitely see a difference using 10 lb dumbells. I agree. Going slow with each rep.
Push up is superior than bench press. You don't need to add more weight to build muscle. If you don't have access to weights then you can do high volume push ups. You can progress by adding more reps and sets instead of weights. It will build same amounts of muscle when compared to heavy lifting up to genetic potential. Trust me. Push up is the winner for all time. 💪💪💪💥💥💥🎇🎇🎇🎆🎆🎆. The best thing is you don't need to go to gym to get a massive chest and also less chance of injury.
