Just caught - it is time for us to shift from waiting on God to kill the giants to God in us acting through us as David did. TOO many wait on God in the wrong way. Waiting is not repose and slackness waiting for God to move and do what we can and should but waiting on the Lord is receiving "I can do all things through Christ Who stengthens me" and standing in readiness for God's instructions then follow them. Sure some things seem never to come to pass but we should do what God says to do and stay in faith ready to obey His next instruction or command. CAUTION do not get ahead of God and act on impulse, thinking it is God. Seek God and rest in His presence and let Him say what to do and when. Going to battle without God is foolish. But I would rather miss His will doing too much vs seeking leisure waiting on God to move not listening to His instructions. Not ready to fight a fight or having a hair trigger to fight both cause destruction. Battle along with God is what brings victory. Sometimes He will say stand here ready to fight and do nothing, the battle is MINE. Let God be God and obey Him. When saints ride with Jesus to defeat the enemy on our return to earth, all are ready for battle but no one fights. A Sword comes out of Jesus mouth and destroys all the enemy while the warrior saints watch. Simply be ready, purifying self for battle, putting on the whole armor of God. The focus is not on the potential battle but readiness if needed. THIS is the principle that has made our military strong. Almost NO ONE in the military wants to go to war, prefers peace, but practices war techniques so that if needed they go.
