Literally, WCR and SCR have the same logo, and they are not complaining. Also, without logos, it looks so weird, and i hope they won't start making custom livery for trains because copyright
Next they would have to remove all trains because they would be copyrighted by the DFT 🤣🤣. They would despawn you after you become delayed because they don't want to show there trains be delayed 🤣🤣. Instead of improving the rail network themselves they go on normal people or a Roblox game for using that stupid double arrow or some other branding. There are litteraly parodies and i think Britain has some kind of a free use act (I'm not British BTW). Have you ever seen NS, DB or SNCF going on somebody for using their branding? SCR and WCR use the double arrow so they are next.
This is literally what happened with SCR. The old Airlink branding was a little close to the Gatwick Express livery, forcing a new livery to be implemented quickly. I did feel with BR using TOC branding and logos, that they might run into this risk and sure enough they have.
@@WillLovesTransport Not really, it's an opportunity for BR (the roblox game) to make their own iconic branding. I think the majority of people prefer the new Airlink and Connect liveries. The old connect livery was similar to the Class 321 Renatus livery and the old Airlink being GX
here's a little legal note that could be used in the defence of BR: You are able to parody a logo or branding on the grounds that it is used in the sense that it does not compete with the market (being a video game it is expempt from this as it is also on a fictional map and nobody in the real world could ride a Fourth Western Railway train), that the logo is used as a means of humour/mockery (which is exactly what has been done), must be different (a bit foggy but the liveries do very slightly differ from their real life counterparts) but at the end of the day it is a fictional environment and BR os only legally what is seen as a parody on a real life market.
@@agedflame same. I put in the DFT phone number and Network Rail website and the mods immediately told me to edit those that was for my Abbey Road station works advert btw
What happened is some random dude wanted to use the double arrows symbol and the DFT said no. He asked "What if I flip it?" No, again. He then asked about BRs logo and the DFT are looking into it. Ollie is now playing it safe by removing all branding just in case they get legal action thrown at them. (This is a summary from kuza, an admin on the discord.)
I was wondering why that had happened, also I noticed that some scenic trains still have branding, eg the IET at Norrington TMD still says FNER when I lasted checked
Best thing they added in 1.3.2: Passengers will now march down the ramp at Avonhill instead of standing in the concourse waiting for nothing when you turn your train around
