Selfless heroes wanted for disaster relief Sweltering heat, bitter cold, & long hours of hard work. No guarantees. High income and gratitude in event of success.
I paid $6k and I got it back in the first month of my deployment now I have done ALOT of free training from IA firms, but I did it to get deployed from that particular IA firm
Severity 1 go first, severity, two and three come after. If the home is still habitable, they will be put on the back burner until the insurance companies can catch up.
In many cases the uninhabitable ones might not be accessible right away (covered in a huge tree, in an area closed off by National Guard). I personally don't believe in triaging claims - they're all a priority.
What if there is obvious and many dark bruising/softness from hail on every ridge shingle, deep/many hail dents on skylights, vent boots, gutters, siding breakage but few obvious hail dents in the field of a roof? Does overwhelming ridge and collateral damage justify replacing the field roof shingles?
No. And in 20 years of doing hail claims I can't honestly say I've seen a situation where there was extensive siding damaged and not also a fully damaged roof. Unless the shingles are some kind of high end impact resistant shingle (which are made with rubber backing). However, you will find plenty of situations where there was lighter evidence of hail - roof vents and sometimes ridgecap - and no damage at all to the shingles in the field. But let's define "few..." If I see a lot of collateral damage and 4 hail bruises in the field and I need 5 to total the slope.. I can promise you I'm finding 5.
@@AdjusterTV We just had a rare hail storm in Connecticut. Cars totaled with hail damage, skylight metal with deep dents, alum. gable/corner trim dented, downspouts dented, exhaust vents dented, siding broken, gutters dented, gable vents broken, siding cracked, ridge shingles damaged by hail but 18 year old shingles in the field with hard to find hail damage.
Need advice please. I just tested for adjuster license in California after studying for a month. I failed horribly. What can you suggest for study materials besides adjuster pro?
I don't honestly know of another one besides AdjusterPro. All state tests are pretty hard and I know that AP provides good prep for all states. I hate to say it but it may just require deeper study of the prep materials. It's not uncommon for people to fail those tests. I failed the State Farm cert the first time I attempted it and they had a ton of really good prep for it.
I would love honest advice. I knew a p&c license would not be enough. My future goal is remote, however, I understand I have to take anything to start. Many many rejections and applications later I still can't land anything, Not even trainee roles. After a couple of months it gets frustrating. I figure experience us killing me but I can't seem to find anyone willing to give a newbie a chance. 5+ years receptionist and teleclaims.
one license is a good start but to really stand out, especially for remote, a person really needs to get absolutely as many licenses as possible. When they staff deployments and daily assignments (and remote) they usually will sort their rosters by state license. "We need an adjuster to handle remote claims in Washington." If you don't have a Washington license your name won't even come up. If you DO have one, you might be the only person with that license and then you're getting a call.
Hey! Dean here (wife behind the scenes). We haven't nailed down the exact date yet, but we will opening the doors for the last time in 2024 within the next few weeks. Can I have you shoot me a note at adjustertv.com/contact and I'll get you those details? Thanks!
I want to get into this profession and appreciate your videos. I’m going to take your courses when I have the money saved to sign up. Thanks for doing what you do.
Regarding insurance: If I work as staff adjuster, does the carrier or agency pay for the E&O/GL insurance for adjusters? Do these same employers generally offer health insurance as well?
If you work as a staff adjuster the company will take care of all that stuff for you as part of your employment package.. they will also pay for and get your state adjuster licenses as well.
Mat (1T), is this excel sheet something you are willing to share?. This is great and can help many of us see where all our cash is going? Good way to plan ahead. Thanks buddy, say Hi to James MF Mathis!
When I was driving for Uber they were talking self driving cars replacing drivers. That was 5 years ago. Hasn’t happened yet. Adjusters are still using technology designed by boomers. Still copying and pasting documents no integration of systems imo.
This is true. The carriers are slowly getting things updated to at least the second-half of the 20th century. They've always been slow moving, but when they make a change, it'll be big (and then it will get old when they don't update it again for 20 years lol!)
Fantastic interview Mat!! Richard Folkman and Crawford are an incredible group to work for. Richard clarified so much for rookie and veteran adjusters alike. My favorite interview you’ve done so far! Thank you both-
There is nothing slow about being a DA/SA..The claims keep coming! Get with even your contents unit, Your F&W, and def your CAT DA's...please! Know what you r talking about before you do...smh
Im hoping this is the video that changes my life. Ive been out of the army for 4 years and in that time ive gotten 2 college degrees, 5 helicopter pilot liscenses, and a personal trainer certificate. And so far none of that has gotten me a job other than working as a package handler for crumbs at fedex. God willing this will get me outta poverty finally. Ill be back in a few months to update this comment and hopefully thank you for saving my life
