@eggystinkering2303 It's not just new guys. I'm 37, a sub vet, and have many interests. By far, the archery community is the worst I've ever dealt with. They all hate each other and think the way they do it is the best and only way.
@@handlesaredumb1 Doesn't surprise me at all. I bought a $200 package based off the reviews on amazon and youtube, and before spending serious coin on a reputable kit I want to see if this is something I want to be invested in at a higher capacity. I don't hunt with archery (yet), have some open land to play with, and simply intend to enjoy myself.
If I was to guess, you look to be.. 5'8- 5-10 150-165 pounds, based on that, I'd guess that now is a 50-60 pound draw weight. Nonetheless you did pretty good considering it's your first go. 👍
Thanks for the review! Would love it if unity made their own mount for the HM3X. Could you perhaps do a video showing its durability/ability to hold zero after live fire?
So technically it would always hold zero, as all you would have to do is center the red dot into the magnifier. Even if the magnifier slightly shifts from having the red dot centered, as long as the red dot is good it would hold zero. As far as durability it's quite solid, but the real test would be seeing how much it can take before the metal sheers in two, or the hinges snap. If Unity made a real mount for the HM3X I'd definitely grab it. I only got this as a precursor to getting an authentic Unity FTC Eotech set up.
@@eggystinkering2303 I was actually more interested to see if there were any shifts in zero mounting on the knockoff unity fast riser. $100+ for genuine unity riser is pretty steep for a piece of aluminum. Anyway, thanks again for the review. Subscribed :)
@@Nicole-m6r it's a solid chunk of aluminum, without any practical testing I'd feel confident running it. I may be wrong by the locking lug of the Unity mount is possibly made of steel VS the cheapo aluminum if that helps.
I'm running one with a Unity Fast riser (also Chinese knock-off) as they don't make one for my HS503R holosun red dot, the mount is just a think of aluminum bolting my trusted optic down, I mean as much as you can trust Holosun as it is Chinese as well. The flip to center on my HM3XT Holosun magnifier is stout as my Other real Unity FTC mount and I would go to war with it, even the real one could fail and in that case you only lose the magnifier not your whole optic, that and they are both running quick release so I could take them both off and run my iron sights 🤷🏼♂️
Yea muzzle blast isn't fun for the cell camera lol. Upper was freshly built, clean, and lubed. This video was me function testing the upper (Diamondback barrel) that was short stroking, wanted a quick visual for myself. There was a loose tolerance between the gas block and barrel that caused it to be under gassed, and the chamber had some manufacturing imperfections that would cause the round to partially seize, both short stroking the action. I was able to "break in" the chambering imperfections and "gunk" up the gas block making a tight seal, hence this silly video of an erratic mag dump. 🙃
Hi Eggy, I have one of these, and I am trying to find the correct wheels and drive wheel. The offsets are what are throwing me off... Did you upgrade wheels? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks, Kevin
Grabbed off eBay for $200 from eBay seller "xiaochujuhuakaing". Located in US and shipping was just over a week. Do some shopping around, maker is "Autoking". You'll find some sell these for way too much money.
Hey man, great video and good explanation. I have the same motor and carb you have but I’m having a stalling issue. Mine will idle for about 10 seconds (with choke on) then die. It sounds like it isn’t getting enough fuel. The carb is brand new so I don’t believe that it’s due to a dirty carb. I also checked for vacuum leaks around the carb but couldn’t find any. The gas has also been drained and replaced with new regular gasoline. That being said, is there a way to adjust this carb without jetting? Did you adjust the two brass screws on top of the carb to get it idling better? I have tried to adjust the fuel screw and the air inlet but doesn’t seem to be working. Any help would be appreciated!
Did you check for any kinks or clogs in the fuel line coming from the gas tank? When I installed the carb it was plug and play, only adjusted for idle.
These motors are not bad at all. The biggest problem I have found with them is both factory and replacment carbs gaskets and seals are the most prone to ethanol destruction of any carb on the market. The gaskets stretch and get mushy when exposed to ethanol.
It's runs amazing, I love it. I absolutely hate the battery set up, I'd def upgrade the battery. Very quick for what it is and has a lot of power, wish it had a kick start for when the battery dies
