I'm glad you clarified about marrying ages. We have a strange relationship with morality and biology. I think it's for the best having the age of consent being much higher than it was (and probably higher in certain states...). Biologically we didn't last long and we take forever to mature to sexual maturity. Thus humanity was raising kids as teenagers on the norm. Oh, how far we've come. And so far yet to go.

Suena a que sacaste esto de los libros de historia de la Secretaria de Educación publica del gobierno mexicano.... Deberías estudiar más puntos de vista y no tragarte el relato que hace la nación para controlar la memoria histórica... No like

Hey man, I've been watching your vids for the past few days, they're very well made and honestly mad respect for the extensive research you've done! Again, they've been a lifesaver (and time saver haha) for writing my book. A vid suggestion tho if possible, can you make a video about general Aztec art? Some main/prominent themes back in the day, what mediums they used, etc etc. I'm also curious about their music since I haven't been able to find ANYTHING about it, just instruments that existed haha. If you can't make it that's fine, these vids have already been super useful for me lol, thanks

Hell yea, I’ll definitely make a vid of Aztec Art. It might be a little later in the year tho Thank you so much, it really means a lot when ppl enjoy the videos. I hope your book does really well!! Send a copy once its completed! 😁 If you need references there’s: The Aztecs by Michale E Smith, I use third edition, he covers general aztec culture -Fifth Sun by Camilla Townsend: covers mainly the chronology of the Aztec empire but I feel it mainly covers the final years -There’s also Warlords of Ancient Mexico by Peter G Tsouras, I’d take this one with a more skeptical lense, he doesn’t make incorrect claims but I just didn’t find too much background info on his credentials) -All the Spanish codexes (Florentine, Mendoza) those ones are usually free online I’ll try to add a references section in the future videos

@@CoZ5268 Thanks for the references! I mostly go on general websites if I have to guess on a certain topic, but so far I have been relying on things from the codexes. Once again, thanks for the vids, you're doing great man

I've said it before and ill say it again, as a Mexican, Central America should've never separated from Mexico. We all share a common Mesoamerican culture and history and even share the same indigenous heritage from the Nahuas in Mexico, El Salvador and Nicaragua as well as the Mayans in Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador. Imagine what could've been if they chose to stay with Mexico, we really would be stronger together ✊🏼🇲🇽🇬🇹🇳🇮🇸🇻🇭🇳🇨🇷
@CoZ5268
@CoZ5268 2 месяца назад
A greater Mexico with Central America definitely could’ve been something great, although it didn’t work out in the end, it was the ability to make the decision that was truly important. The Americas were brimming with social experiments during this time. The resulting decisions are what led to beautiful diverse cultures that even after being formed under a common Mesoamerican culture, can still have variations that each and every one of them unique. Plus until the world ends lots of things can happen, and unity is never truly out of the question.
@xochitlhernandez13
@xochitlhernandez13 2 месяца назад
@@CoZ5268 I agree, and it's not like Central America would've been treated as lesser than the rest, Chiapas is the perfect example. A Mexican state of Nicaragua or Costa Rica would have the same rights as the Mexican state of Chihuahua or Sonora. Makes me sad because I see Central Americans as southern Mexicans because of our shared Nahua, Mayan, and Otomanguean heritage highlighting our Mesoamerican history 😢

You misunderstand "avg life expectancy". For example: If 2 are born, one doesn't make it past the first week, the other makes it to 60. The average is 30. People lived into old age but life but.... nutrition issues, illness, war.

@@CoZ5268 while you're at it I would love to suggest an idea I would usually think about often, which is basically a courtyard block, so it be like a courtyard building type of which consists of a central hexagonal Food Forest that feeds the buildings on the sides. The structures would be a maximum of 5 to six stories tall to give it a sense of place and include some shops or something to do at the bottom floor like restaurants and such. The hexagons blocks would then form together to create Y intersections to discourage cars and keep everything pedestrian and bike friendly. Imho its a perfect combination of incorporating nature with our humanity to essesntially culturally evolve from this hyper individualistic society :3 and understand our place in the ecosystem. Sorry for the yapping but TLDR: Imagine a reasonably sized hexagonal city block with a central permaculture food forest akin to honey in a honeycomb :p Each "wall" of this honeycomb would be 0.1km or 100 meters long with a perimeter of 0.6 kilometers. And a 6 story height linit to preserve our humanity. Thus the total area becomes 0.03 kilometers squared. Yeah :3

@@AkitoTenkaizen woah that’s a really cool idea. Imma be honest I didn’t fully understand some of the words u used, but thinking about a building that can be sustained by plants definitely sounds like a more sustainable way of tackling urban architecture. Also the use of hexagons to maximize space definitely does make it sound like the optimal choice when designing a building
