You should replace the motor mount at the same time as you do the timing belts and water pump, since you have to remove the mount anyway as part of the repair.

Good video bro, hoping to be working on an 86 soon, my favorite truck. If you are doing this, the manuals have a white steel shitty ass metal clutch plate, which cracks every 7 years or so, keep on mind you will be replacing them, the hairline Crack makes it a mother fuk'r using clutch pedal. Plus your screwing with your dash panels although bullnose is better than the bullnose panels, anyway good luck fixing up your bull

Dang brother! Be careful with that jack. You probably know this but the 4 raised points on the saddle should’ve oriented so the corner of the crossmember lands between the raised point. Two in front and two points in back. Then it won’t slip off unless the jack can’t roll with it as it goes up. Or use the actual jack points and jack up one side and put your stand under and then go to other side. (I know that takes to much time. So I jack in middle if possible depending on the vehicle. Anyway thanks for the video. Keep up the good work. 😊 And a dab of grease will hold that shim in so you don’t have to fight to get it between starter and all the stuff that’s in the way. Edit: I just noticed this video is 10 years old. 😂😂😂 Last thing. Please learn how to stay steady and/or get a stand for camera. Because this version is giving me motion sickness. 😂😂😂

Well i'm back and would just like to say once again, thank you very much for your video Sir. The new clock spring for my 2016 Fusion arrived on yesterday and shortly after, i was able to get the bad one out and the new one installed pretty easily and quickly, thanks to your video. And i'm very happy to say that all of my steering wheel controls plus my horn are working again. So again, thank you Sir for being kind enough to share this knowledge and not keep it to yourself. God Bless you and your family always!

Just want to thank you for taking the time to make this video. Like you said, some of the others that I have watched already have the steering wheel off and that wasn't really helping me, but you have showed me everything from the beginning to the end. Thank you very much. I just ordered my new clock spring last night, and as soon as it arrives I will install it and let you know how it turns out. Thanks again Sir for your help.

I messed up big time , I turned the engine by hand trying to get the marks lined up and I forgot to put in the keyway in the harmonic balancer and now my crankshaft is 180 degrees from my crank gear mark , can I undo the timing belt and turn the crank the opposite way to light up the keyway holes or do I need to pull the head and turn the engine over to ensure no valve damage?

Thank you for the video! Had multiple abs lights on my 2019 fusion hybrid. Swapped out the speed sensor and the wheel hub. Both were probably fine. The issue appeared to be the green metal washer between the axel and wheel hub. It deteriorated and pieces stuck to the magnet on the wheel hub. The washer had to be ordered thru Ford.
@justhes
@justhes 2 месяца назад
Yup that’s the same issue I showed in the video. It could probably be cleaned but with all that work getting that out, it’s best just to replace it. Haven’t had any money lights since I did this repair.

I turned mi '88 EFI Lincoln Town Car into carburated because it was almost all gone and junk I even swapped the timing cover to a mechanical ⚙️ fuel pump timing cover to leave it 100% carburated. And mi '91 F-150 is starting to act up but I'm not turning that one into carb I'm leaving it stock EFI and fix it 100% factory specs at every cost because it's a "Premier Edition" kinda like a Lincoln truck power everything wood grain interior extended cab short box; very rare truck 😛 it's the same EFI set-up as this '85 Ford but mine has the modern serpentine belt set-up...

Thanks for the clear video. Even with the Ford OEM instructions, I was having trouble locating the plug. My comment for others is that I changed the fluid at 51,000 miles. It was black, with only a slight reddish hue. I think Ford's super long change intervals are way too long. I spent like $25 in ATF fluid...very cheap insurance to keep the CVT operating well.
