It's very pretty and simple to make, and your instructions are straight forward❣️Thanks very much for sharing this pattern. I have one question, though... How do you manage to begin and end each new colour without getting the change in the middle of the row? Don't tell me you cut your yarn every time...🤔
@@queencleo1151 Ha ha ha...good question ☺️ Actually, I just use the variegated yarn and it creates the stripes, though they are not necessarily always at the end (you can't tell on video but there are sections where the color shifts in the middle of a row). But overall, it still looks good, I think 🤗 Thanks so much for watching and best wishes!
@@JudyWilliard The decreases (or increases, as needed) would occur within a particular color section, so you would do them as normal, just like you would if knitting with a single color. The intarsia part is really just the twisting (or carrying through on the back side) of the different yarns. Hope this helps ☺️ Thanks so much for watching and best wishes 🤗
Thanks very much for your tutorial. I just have 1 query . I always use 2 salvage stitches at each end of my work. Can I use the 2 end stitches in your pattern for this purpose (only for the edges)?
@@lisamidgette8579 Thank you ☺️ Yes, this stitch would work great for lots of projects, particularly blankets or even a pullover. I have not designed one yet but thanks for suggesting it and will think of something 🤗
I want to start by saying I love this pattern! I made 8 rows, put in a lifeline and have not gotten past that successfully. I can't tell you how many times I've taken it out, for one reason or another. I do know how to knit but because of how I "drift" when I knit, I usually take out more stitches than I knit. Eventually, I do finish patterns. With that said, I do know how to take out and fix knits, purls and now P1B. The last one I need to know to successfully finish this scarf is how to take out a K1B on a two color scarf, when I mess it up. I think I could fix a regular K1B but because you end up with 3 loops, when doing the 2 color scarf, I just can't figure it out and can't find any videos that can help. Can you recommend a video or do you have one that would explain it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I could just learning that one fix, I wouldn't need lifelines anymore!🙂 Cathy

Very clear instruction video, thank you! I plan to use this for the hem of a jumper and have a question - in your yellow and orange hat at the beginning of the video, which color is knitted as the 'K1b, P1' row? I am just trying to figure out how to get the color I want to be dominant on the correct side.
Hi Betty, sorry for delay in responding. For weaving in yarn tails, please see this video of mine: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mh0JKJTtC6g.htmlsi=d4NBWRfD5sItxLbu. Hope it helps. Thanks and best wishes 🤗
My pleasure! Thanks for watching it and glad it was helpful. With some practice on this stitch, the loose tension will come naturally (useful for this stitch and a few other finicky but pretty stitches)🤗
Good question. See below for pattern to knit this in the round (both variations). Hope this helps but let me know if you have questions. Thanks and best wishes!🤗 Variation 1: multiple of 4 st (4-row repeat) Cast on a multiple of 4 st (eg, 24 st, 32 st, etc) Row 1: *K2, P2. Repeat from * to end. Row 2: Same as Row 1 Row 3: *RT, P2. Repeat from * to end. Row 4: Same as Row 1 Repeat Rows 1-4 for pattern. Variation 2: multiple of 3 st (4-row repeat) Cast on a multiple of 3 st (eg, 24 st, 27 st) Row 1: *RT, P1. Repeat from * to end. Row 2: *K2, P1. Repeat from * to end. Row 3: Same as Row 2 Row 4: Same as Row 2 Repeat Rows 1-4 for pattern
would this have enough stretch to use for leg warmers that go from ankle to over the knee? pattern was written for regular k2p2 or k1p1. I changed needles going up the leg instead of increasing and it worked fine with regular rib st.
