Great video im glad you take the time that you do to show the parks ! A previous channel i had watched said there was no water access at ferris .. now after watching your video ferris is on my list of parks to see
On the last visit, we actually had to go out and buy an extension cord, because the outlet was a little too far away. Also, it is possible to canoe down the Big East River, but it is somewhat complicated by needing a shuttle, and I don't think many people do it.
Does Arrowhead park permit allow us use of Algonquin park as well? Also I remember someone talking about using arrowhead sanitary station after camping at Algonquin? Are these cross park use permitted?
When you still had papers, it was permitted, you can always ask for a print out at registration/the park store...they don't like it, but they will do it
The way to fix provincial parks is to put a working toilet and hot water I can help but if you arent being honest then no one can fix this No civilized person is taking a dump in the woods
We just returned from Bon Echo. Two things we would add to your must do list: The Shield hiking trail and also taking your watercraft to Joeperry Lake for a few hours or a day. If you don't want to portage your watercraft the .5km from parking lot to lake, you can rent a park canoe at the launch on Joeperry.
Nice vid, sorry you got eaten alive by the bugs, definitely a nuisance, lots of good information, thanks for taking the time to show us fellow campers the park, keep up the good work.
We are a new family with 2 young kids in this country based in Toronto, I just found out about camping in provincial parks and that there are roofed accomodation options too. Any idea where I can read about best options for families? I would want to camp in tents , rv etc probably when the kids are little older but would want to try roofed option first. Please guide if you can, thanks
It totally depends on what you want to do, getting a roofed accomodations in the summer is nearly impossible. You can always try it in the off season or start with a regular campsite and a tent and go from there. All reservations are made through reservations.ontarioparks.com. Happy Camping!
Thank you so much. We had all sorts of towing issues and multiple visits to Cat Scales, but your spreadsheet saved us from a narrow escape from an accident. We are first-time RVers and dealerships who want money but are not interested in our lives.
been camping there every summer for 35 years, orioles nest(now west pines) right beside this park. beautiful lake and atmosphere. the best times. thanks for this. gettinf ready to head up on may 24 weekend.
Pancake Provincial Park is also a great overnight stop on your way to Lake Superior! The beaches are endless and not overly crowded, and the sunsets are incredible. We are very lucky to live in the north! So glad you enjoyed yourself!
Hi, thank you for the wonderful and informatic sharing. I am just wondering whether we need to let the car running when we want to have heater or air-conditioning? And how about charging point? Does it come together with the van?
Great overview of this park. Important info re poor cell service...thanks for providing that. I like how you make you way around including on the trails, to provide the overview. I don't provide park reviews per se, but do provide hiking and paddling trips in Parks and elsewhere, on our Channel. This was very helpful. Thank you...we're heading to Charleston Lake this spring.
I loved your overview of Bonnechere and area. We're heading there this spring. Really appreciated your pointing out other trails. I liked knowing you could use your drone around Basin Lake. Thanks for your great information and videography.
