Be careful folks. The rocks are slippery. Use a harness with carabiner for complete safety. If you should fall , you wouldn’t die. Safety is everything.
Why are you wearing a veil in public? And you don't really need to wear a headscarf to enter a mosque in Turkey. It is just a recommendation, they can't refuse you entry. Well at least that goes for Turkish citizens, not sure about how they treat tourists.
Prices have gone UP...UP...UP. I took the California Zephyr (9/11/2018) from Martinez, CA. all the way to Chicago. I had a roomette to myself. Price was about $450. I just checked same trip...same train...same departure city and date...$1,479.00. That's over THREE TIMES the amount I paid in 2018. Wow...that's incredible!
We will be first time riders, and this was exactly the information we need. Even your journey is similar as we will be Orlando to DC. Thank you for your post- direct to the point.
I know the silver meteor is the one you had time for, but in all of Amtrak fleet, the first I'd recommend the Southwest Chief from Chicago to LA. You'll have a better dining experience and better scenery. The Chief traverse Raton Pass, the Sangre De Cristo mountains, and the legendary desert southwest.
I would like to see how the bed on top was. My husband and I traveled in Southwest Chief on a roomette, and my husband complained that the bed was thin and tight. For one day, you can handle it, but not for two days.
He picked up on the really bad vibes in there. Try going out there alone at night. Or maybe not. I probably wouldn't recommend it. I have reason to believe there have been satanic human sacrifices performed in that cave. He doesn't show too much of the graffiti. The vibes are some of the worse I have felt anywhere on planet Earth. And I've been a lot of places. It dead ends it seems like a mile but probably isn't that far as its slow going as you have to climb over all those rocks and boulders.
3:29 that column is a well known styl ein roman and greek architecture. The 'eyes' are actually representative of the eyes of a tree - original columns were made from tree stumps. So they represent cut branches. Definitely not human eyes. And there definitely weren't Turks in 'Turkey' when the cistern was built - they came from much further east later on. Everything the tour guide was telling you was just silly tourist hokey.
I remember my dad taking me to Plutos Cave (among countless other lava tubes all around haha) a looong time ago, and I just remember it being such a huge entrance and it was soooo long, I think we reached the end, if not dang near. Awesome video you guys! It really made me relive that day with my dad.❤️🤘🏼
When you 2 rode the silver meteor, the food served as of the time was Amtrak's flexible dining menu and while you found it satisfying, you should take the long distance route out west which serve the traditional dining menu which is much better.
Great tour. Thanks. I'll be staying at the Yotel airside in Istanbul next week. It's good to hear they have a nice place to hang your hang-ups. I have a lot of them.
Great idea but I don't like the idea of the 1/4 thread sticking out the top of the trekking pole. I used my pole for my tent so I need a smooth top to the pole. So I took your idea but drilled a hole in the top of the pole and pushed/glued a female 1/4" thread into the top of the pole. Then I got a tiny 1/4 to 1/4 fitting that I screwed into the bottom of the ball joint. This way the pole is smooth at the top and the ball joint plus phone holder fit s straight into the open thread on the pole. I hope that makes sense.
3:06 actually we enter places of worship with the right foot and leave with the left foot, because we consider worship the utmost epitome of human conscience and purity, and places of worship as such, we enter such places with right and leave with left. Best wishes.
Was passing trough this area with my friend and decided to stop and check it out. Everything was cool until I went way ahead of my friend to where he is at the 5:07 mark in the video when I got the intense feeling of being watched and got that nape of the neck scared cat feeling. My first thought was of the skinwalker/weindego things and the fact that I forgot my pocket knife. I started backing out really calmly while looking for hand sized rocks to fight off the evil that was going to attack me. Then my buddy yelled down at me and then we got the heck on with our trip.
