One of the few adult animated shows that take themselves seriously, tell a story as good and mature as a live-action show and don't rely on middle school jokes. I wish this gem could come back.
HBO and co knocked it out of the park with this adaptation. I love it's deliberate pacing, subtley and atmosphere... it isn't the tone of McFarlane's comics but it just works really well in it's own way.

Such Horror, such terrifying eerieness, extremely Dark, Brutally disturbing and violent, and scary as hell, too much even for adults to handle! Now, this is a great example of making a masterpiece, by telling a story, by engaging everyone into the Dark and Gritty World of Terror; the world of Spawn! No comic book adaption comes close to this one in my vocabulary, I literally got scared, terrified and grew up with this during my childhood. Spawn the Animated Series forever! 👹🎭 😈 👻 ❤
I have to say, I like the realistic reaction to such an encounter. In most any other narrative, she’d have recognized him and completely gotten over the fact that he’s a monster in two seconds.
