How is this running on an 8-bit console? The game is extremely fast, visuals are towing the line of something you'd see on the Genesis, and while the music isn't pushing the console, it's extremely catchy!
It took me almost 40 years, but I finally heard this piece performed elsewhere, and learned its name and composer! It's The Earl of Essex's Galliard by John Dowland. (Also known by its first lyric, "Can She Excuse My Wrongs") And frankly, this arrangement (by Ed Bogas, probably?) is still my favorite. All the "real" arrangements I can find now are too frilly to my ear since I first heard it on my Mac. There's something about good computer music arrangements of classical pieces that really captures the spirit of the pieces!
