Absolutely agree,... I've stopped caring what folk think of me. I'll do me and share the love and hopefully help anyone who needs it. Nature is a drug and a cure and I love how people are coming back to nature to find themselves. It's a crazy world but this is the point where it will start to get interesting. It's time to heal ourselves and get back to true reality

Sarah has a good heart, is very smart, really a worthy opponent. But Jeff is the type of person, to where you could set him out a steak dinner, and he would throw you under the bus without a second thought. It was noble to give him a chance, but not wise. Still love you Sarah!!

Just a thought on "how did they work out the fire piston". I wonder if it may have been that they used to do friction fire in the beginning, but their method involved sliding a piston in and out of a tube (let's say a stick in a slightly bigger piece of bamboo). And one day someone happened to have a better seal than usual and created pressure and noticed the ember came much sooner. Another way could just be they had a toy or a tool or noise maker that used compression and then one day someone happened to make one that was just way too good at the compression part and "oh look! There's a fire in the bottom of my toy!"

I fell in love with Safari Live when I was going through a rough time in my life… Lauren and the leopards; Thandi (RIP Beautiful Soul)& Tingana, and the elephants brought such joy that I hadn’t experienced since having a childhood dream just like her. I ended up having kids and went a different route, but I lived my dreams through watching her live hers. Bless you Lauren and thank you for helping me through a rough time, even when you never knew you were! 🥰

Old cultures would intrinsically align with natural forces, and even worshipoed firests, trees, plants and animals. Many temples are adornef with them. In India forest has its own Goddess of Forests "Vandevi", primal power of the universe.or "Parvati" / "Shakti". Most Gods and Godesses of the Hindu pantheon have individual birds and animals as personal transport. This possibly was xevisex by ancient thinkers, teachers and sages to resoect and protect allkinds of ani.als incmuding more "destructive" ones like mouse, squirrel, or fearsome ones like snakes, lion, tiger, and useful ones like cow, bull, elephant, dog, and others like owl and vulture that may otherwuse not be liked by all. Some medicinal herbs were linked to the three pillars of Creator, Maintainor, and Destroyer (for regeneration).like lotus, holy basil, bael or wood apple. This association to nature was deeply thoughtful.

@Rishikant Singh, thanks so much for this comment. We all need to listen more to the old cultures and how much nature and the outdoors if we protect it can teach us and how much it can help us.

I am enjoying this series tremendously. One thing that I always do is to try to earn money in multiple ways from the same effort. Before I do it, I think of all the ways that I might make money from doing it if I did it, then I pick the best ideas - the ones that both make money and further my mission. I set those opportunities up in advance, then I do it. That’s a lot better than what I used to do, doing something and then thinking about how what I just did might be leveraged. But that was better than what I initially did, doing something and not even thinking about leveraging it and then doing something else and not leveraging that either. That’s a lot of doing and not getting much for the effort of having done it!
@WeGetOutdoors
@WeGetOutdoors 2 года назад
Thanks and congrats on making progress and getting more clarity on what you are doing to earn money and clarify your mission. Our advice is to always follow 3 steps: 1) Know your target market 2) Create an offer they would be stupid to say no to 3) Offer as much value as you can

I am a consultant. I design resilient off grid homesteads and lifestyles and teach online and in person education and training courses. I couple the in-person hands on workshops with adventure tourism outings. We knock off from hands on workshop training and go hiking, zip lining, kayaking, fishing etc. Our customers chose their destinations and venues just as they would on a cruise ship. I have each class pick from a list of a available options. Then I give them back a revised list of the top 10 from the class and then have them pick their top 5. We then choose the top 3 with two alternates (which are selected if any of the top 3 become unavailable). Those are the activities we do together as a class. I don’t provide these adventure experience services. I merely provide the customers and the platform. The various adventure tourism providers provide the expertise for their venues. I run multiple workshops with multiple classes. So it amounts to a steady stream of customers. The process is seamless and win-win for everyone.

Good point; NEVER COPY your competition. Carve out YOUR UNIQUE NICHE. Couple that with a disruptive business model that the big players can’t easily copy if they decide to start doing what you are doing too and then try to squeeze or buy you out.

I believe that people can make money doing just about anything. You can sell Vintage Peppa Pig figurines and make money. Why? Because with aid of the Internet, there are customers somewhere out there in the world that are searching for and want to buy such vintage figurines. So you should focus on the subset of products/services that you want to sell and have the ability to sell. You will definitely need a plan as to what to sell first, second and third and where you eventually want to evolve into and be selling. That road map is very important. Why not just go for the money, sell people what ever the hell that they want? Because that will not make YOU happy unless the only thing that makes you happy IS the money. I don’t work to make money. I work to produce the change in the world that I want to see. I actually turn customers away when they want something that I don’t want to provide. Why produce things that run counter to your values, beliefs and objectives as to how you want the world and human society to appear and function? That would be illogical and counterproductive! Don’t do it. If you want to do that, keep working for somebody else. It’s a lot less work!
@WeGetOutdoors
@WeGetOutdoors 2 года назад
I really like this, you have to have that belief in what you do and be brave enough to turn people away when they look for something you are not prepared to provide, stay true to your beliefs. Well done you!

@@WeGetOutdoors I’m never nasty about a request rejection, I remain professional or sometimes make a bit of a joke of it. Other people are entitled to their beliefs and lives. I simply refer them to someone who I think will provide such products and services. It is important to be helpful as long as what they are asking for is legal and not potentially lethal. (I once had a person ask me about climbing a cliff known to harbor rattlesnake dens at the peek of rattlesnake migration season... “not the proper time” was my reply Then I offered to take them to a place where they could see the snakes migrating along a road and pointed them to a cliff that they could climb that was snake free but still worth climbing). You have to be true to your brand. You want to provide exciting experiences that your customers will remember for the rest of their lives while making sure that they live to tell the tale. That's part of the reason that we now go on our recreational outings together as a group and why we use professional guides, so that we can select the 'optimal' experiences. What’s your advice?
@WeGetOutdoors
@WeGetOutdoors 2 года назад
@resilientfarmsanddesignstudio your comments are exactly what we believe in. We all have different views and opinions but in order to survive through business and life these I feel you have to stay true to yourself and if we are not able to provide what a client wants I also want to be able to direct them to someone who may be able to provide that service they require. If you would like to chat about this a little more you can jump on a call with Mark or Rob? P.s good call with the rattlesnake den lol
