It's definitely my IEM mix lol It was done on the fly, so I didn't have the levels that great. I agree, I would've liked less vocals and more punch from the kick and toms.
Playing to a tick sucks in my opinion because you are not living in that moment of the realization of a live show just play and live in that moment it’s live music not studio recordings which makes it all better in my opinion to let what happens happen during a live set
Can we just agree that they each have different purposes and applications and they're equal? Like traditional is perfect for jazz and bop if you wanna do snare comping, but match grip is better for funk and getting rim shots.
4 to the floor makes us as drummers feel indestructible, so i cannot even fathom the emotions playing something so chunky for what looks like 60 - 100 thousand people, you laid it down, that b20 sounds stunning also :D
Ill never forget my first time playing in a studio to a click track. After our band was signed and the venues were bigger i always had the metronome in my ear to keep the band on time. Some think this is easy but for those who are used to just playing free, its definitely something that took me a great deal of pratice to get used too.
Actually, what you present here is ok. Usually, we don't hear that good. We, the drummers, must be ready to play in any hard hearing condition. It's always different from show to show.
