You should start checking the fuse box for the fuses F 14, 10, 12, 23, then try to check electrical connections and also ground wires (sometimes they wear out and disconnect or ripped out)!
@alanshenoy5678 Hello, my friend. No, I don't know the size of all my pressure washers, but I know it's the smallest one and the cheapest one, and it's working. They all have the same standard connections and similar specifications.
I'm sorry, I don't know exactly. I guess it's going to be totally different. The problem is not the year, but the engine size! But on the other hand, it is just the V6. Instead of V8, it also could be on the same side! You are going to need to do more research! You can do this . Good luck!
No, I don't think so. "CLICK", no crank, no start....... as the opposite will be "NO CLICK", crank and start! Somehow, you "lose", don't see, don't mention the "CLICK" - which is the first and the main word in this sentence! It explains the exact manufacturer with the starter!
Hello, once again. Can you be specific about what the problem you have! Do you have diesel in your engine oil, or do you have oil in your diesel? #1) If you have a diesel in your engine oil, you probably have a blowing gasket, blowing piston, or a crack in the cylinder "sleeve." #2) "mixing diesel AS engine oil"-what is that mean? Are you mixing diesel with engine oil on purpose?
I hope you can give me some advice. I have same problem. I changed battery and new starter, after 3 days same problem again with my Cherokee. Same as you electronics come on but does not start. What else could it be or have you ran into this problem again?
Oh no, I didn't have any problem, after I changed my starter. I will try my best to help you but I need some info what happened before this problem occurred ?! Maybe you got into the accident, or you were driving in the heavy rain, or you got into the pothole with the water? But in the meantime, check that #1 Make sure you have the right battery for your engine. You need a minimum 700 Amp to crank 5.7l #2 Make sure your terminals on new battery are tied! #3 Make sure you check all fuses for "start mode" and starter and also check electrical relay #4 Check your keychain battery
My jeep did the exact thing yesterday. Tried your fix but nothing. Had battery checked, it was bad. Put new battery in and she cranked right up. Thank you.
Our car also wouldn't crank. We thought it was the battery so we jump started, it went from 13V to less than 8V. Then the car progressively lost power all the while flashing all the lights and notifications inside the car and the screen went blank. Did we just break the car?! 😰😰😰😰😰😰😰
Wow, where were you TWO years ago, Captain Obvious?! 2 years ago, I couldn't find any information about this problem on RU-vid. 2 years ago, my video was one of the first ones, where I was talking about this problem. Unfortunately, I'm not a mechanic, and I wish I knew the answer to that (starter problem) in the beginning! I had to make three different videos where, in the third one, I mentioned what "I'm smoking!"
I could be very other day, or once in 3-4 days. If you start having this problem. You should start planning to change your starter! P.S sorry for the late response
@@RedisN76 it's happened to me twice so I've been following this video and it helps. I had the starter tested at pep boys and they said it's good. Also battery and alt are good.
Thanks a lot, man, this is THE SOLUTION for this problem! It even works on earlier JGC models. I had the same problem on a 2005 Laredo, several mechanics told me they didn't know how to fix, like "it could be the starter" (it's new), it could be the relay (it was not), "it could be a ground issue" (yes, it could, it was not), "it could be the computer" (definitely not, so basically hundreds of dollars for a 5-minute fix). I don't blame them, I had to figure out the issue by carefully tracking the electrical conductivity throughout the entire circuit. I recommend the following: 1) Safety first: if you work alone, DO NOT jack up the car, you can set the parking brake and safely crawl under the car, your back on the ground. Wear a hat in case you bump your head on the chassis. Always wear safety glasses. A flashlight helps. 2) Make sure to fully disconnect the little plug attached to the yellow/green command wire so you can expose the blade sticking out of the solenoid. Thoroughly clean up the blade with a metal brush, before reconnecting the plug. This will give you better contact. 3) You can also use dielectric grease or liquid like CRC "blue" to protect the contact from further corrosion. Finally, shame on Jeep for such a shoddy design in an area exposed to the elements!
Good video...Starter replaced...It was easy to replace/take it off ...But not for a 3.6 Pentastar 4X4....It is extremely difficult no room to get to the starter...except from behind it on the floor..and in the front...way back where the transmission and engine meet...
I have the same problem right now ! At first it cranked but then no cranking noise only click i think its a starter issue tomorrow im going to tell you after i check
I have a 2016 grand Cherokee 75th anny I have the same problem I already changed the starter 4 times They only last about 2 weeks and they burn out does anybody know why? Or what Can the problem be?
Thanks got I don't have a problem with my starter since I changed last year. Unfortunately you have an electrical issue. In my opinion some kind of "short". Check the wires that go from the starter to make sure they are not ripped or expose the wires. Check all ground wires. Check voltage of your battery. Check if useless for that starter. Make sure it's the right electrical amperes.
You make it look like it's "right there." But it also looks like you have fewer or took off all the under guard plates.... Stuff to look into over the next few days 😮💨
Or yes I have to take out the guard plate. I had only one under the motor. The best way to do it is to change the starter If you pretty sure that is the Starter solenoid
@@RedisN76 I've looked there. Didn't see any of the obvious wires, so I figured I have a few extras in the way, or some slightly different wiring. I'll find it. I hear it there so it's just a matter of getting a bit closer
@Jay Bee Hello there. Solenoid is small round tube (motor) located on the starter. Basically, it's pushing the gear wheel of the starter To the motor, When you start the motor.
Хорошая работа ! Есть вопрос!!! Как после установки его откалибровать ! У меня точно такая же машина , и есть проблема ! В закрытом положении люк встаёт выше на пол сантиметра от положенной высоты!
