I hate how the 'official' video (no shade on this poster) leaves out Meek's steal of the Zag's next pass after Jackson's breakaway dunk. One of the most important plays of the tournament imho.
Sometimes it seems that using the phrase “it was privilege” can be overused. It was more than a privilege to watch them from when they lost to Miami in the acc championship in 2013. To them beating Virginia in the acc championship in 2016. They kept fighting and improving every year.
I come back every so often to watch this man. I miss how dominate UNC was, and didn't take nights off on the defensive end. The amount of wins the core of the team got while at UNC is just crazy! Hopefully we can start getting guys that want to play for the team and not just their draft status.
I believe in a tournament of all NCAA champions all time that 08-09 North Carolina would win it all. Some of the greatest fundamental basketball ever seen at the college level. The Spurs of college bball. I miss when great players would stay 3-4 years. One and done doesn’t create teams like this anymore
1990 UNLV 2012 Kentucky 2018 Villanova 2021 Baylor 1991/92 Duke 2005 North Carolina 2004 UConn 2001 Duke 2002 Maryland 1996 Kentucky 1998 Kentucky You think they would beat all of them?
@@No-bn7dm yeah I do. They’d get my money if I was betting. Not to say other teams aren’t great. But what 2012 Kentucky had in talent, 2009 unc had in talent plus chemistry. That team was something else to watch
This is without a doubt one of the greatest UNC teams of all-time. And that's saying something with all the superstars that have come through Chapel Hill. Big Game Wayne Ellington was the best of the best. He picked the best time to shine. Go Heels!!
No team would beat this one. And I’m including the Jordan, worthy, Perkins teams in that. I’ve never seen a more polished team than 08-09 Carolina. I’m not certain any college team ever could’ve stopped Hansbrough from getting that trophy
Another wonderful journey down memory lane with an incredible team of Tarheels. Thanks to whoever puts together these videos. Forever Tarheels and UNC.
This was the most devasting loss in a national championship game by any team in the modern era. Hansbrough's Legacy came to fruition. There was not a single second of the game that anyone could doubt that the 'Heels were going to be national champions.
Basketball is different now from what I'm seeing over the last several years. The transfer portal and OAD rule. Just wonder if there will be any more great years in UNC like we've enjoyed over the last 3 decades. It hurts my heart
This team just had it all inside and out. I would say it was the greatest Tar Heel team ever with its combination of inside play, quickness and 3 point shooting. Just zero weakness anywhere.
