Funny how those oios swim straight in once they're hooked. I'm curious as to what causes them to do that. Every time I catch an oio, there is a point in the fight where my line goes slack, and I think to myself, "Damn fish came off!" But I keep cranking because, in the back of my mind, I know that it may be an oio.
Its called magic bait thread or spider thread, amazon sells it and there are multiple thickness. The thin ones are great because they are not visible but the thicker ones are good for larger baits and have colors
I used to do that with the regular ones and the ones made for bridling the baits but i stopped a while back, i felt bad for loosing the plastic in the ocean. With the rubber bands i get them back most times as they are stuck to the hook. 🤙
