Used mine 1st time for Thanksgiving brisket, 2 dino beef ribs 3 spare ribs 1 turkey breast and 2 drumsticks.... i almost started a restaurant it came out so good. 12 hours total cook 250 degrees
Did this on my 2013 Fusion Same 2.5 and man was it a nightmare from hell first the petcock was on Uber tight than getting the Thermostat off was a bitch because the constant tension clamps broke off and had to replace one of those, than i dropped the bolt from the top right screw hole so I had to buy that. Finally i had to have my dad and uncle thread the screws in for me to get the Thermostat back in all in all it took over 6 hours lol but my dad and I eventually got it done. PS to anyone reading this to avoid dropping the screws for the Thermostat housing bolts grab some Vaseline or Beeswax and put it on the bolt and the back of the socket that way the bolt stays in place and won't fall off like mine did luckily it didn't fall into the engine. Anyways I highly advise you also have some picks for the hoses and have someone with small hands to get those bolts in for you!
Dude do you not realized that antifreeze can contaminate the planet, and you allowed it to just drain directly into the floor...niceeeee dude, that and manyyyyyyyyyyyyy other reason why we're having global warming cause irresponsible idiot people like you. 👍🏼
Don’t be an overreacting, assuming you know all. you moron. It was draining into a bucket as mentioned at the 9 min mark. Get off my video you’ve been commenting on for the past few months and go do something productive if you haven’t figured out how to do this simple job.
What other symptoms did you have? I have a 2013 ford fusion and having some heating issues. Engine is not overheating or anything but my heat is just not as hot as it should be sometimes no heat. Thinking of changing out the thermostat.
Its been a while since this video. Not sure what all I was experiencing. I do recall once with a Chrysler, I was having issues with my heater not heating and after spending some time trying to figure it out, it turned out that my coolant was not completely full. I mean I could still see it in the reservoir it was maybe and inch from the full level, thats all. But as soon as I filled it to the line, heater started working. Not sure if that helps but just a thought.
@@raulrodriguez3311 No worries. I think with this model the thermostat seems to be the likely culprit. My fusion is running great and no check engine light but just the heat comes and goes. Engine seems to run on the cool side and coolent seems to stay in the engine and takes a while to move back into the resivoir. From what I've read a bad thermostat can cause engine to run cool with little heat because it does not open and close properly keeping more coolant in the engine.
Rey Mendez Hey man thanks for the comment. It’s just about a year since that vid and I have improved my briskets and I have changed some things up so yea it’s time for another video. My goal was to get good enough to buy a Wagyu. I believe I’m almost there. Stay tuned.
Raul Rodriguez, that’s cool. If you load the firebox with wood how long does it typically last on a warm day, I cook a lot of briskets and Boston butts for parties to help out friends
I try to maintain about 250 when i smoke. It uses a chimney full of charcoal and about 2-3 pieces of wood to maintain that for about 2 hours give or take. Then I just keep feeding it some more wood. Sometimes it will require another chimney of charcoal.
I had just had my 13 fusion titanium in for service, they told me my housing was the issue after pressure test. I have seen no leaks but they said it was and wanted 550 bucks to replace. I purchased a new OEM part from ford for 75bucks. Car just hit 90k and needs this already. Great video thanks.
Betty Baker sorry just getting to this but I don’t have an answer for that. I was just going with the thermostat because that was cheap and easy enough to start with and is usually the cause for the symptoms I was seeing.
I needed this video. I just had to change my radiator hose and my temp gauge has been acting weird no leaking but I smell it ima take it in to see if my thermostat is bad but I’ve been trying to do all my own work in my car and this video was informative enough to make me comfortable to do this myself. Thank you for taking the time.
HEY RAUL, man that was a good video my friend, that brisket looked amazing and it was supper juicy, and that under and over smoker will smoke some awesome BBQ, so keep up the great videos, this is just a little hint to keep your bark is to used butcher paper and you will kept the bark, because foil steams the brisket to much, I had to learn the hard way myself, but practice makes perfect my friend. What I like about you, you were very honest, and that is a good thing. AWESOME JOB MY FRIEND. GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER.!!!
Joe's Smokehouse & Bar-B-Que Hey thanks for the comment Joe. I appreciate that. And thanks for the tip. I’ve done a couple of more since this one and they have been wrapped in butcher paper. I’m loving the results. Happy grilling!
Hey man. Thanks for a good, honest, unbiased, video. I've been trying to up my brisket game too. I've been looking into the over-under smoker, but haven't seen many reviews on it. Would like to hear your thoughts on your likes and dislikes of the smoker.
Hey Kevin, thanks for the comment. Yep that’s what I’ve been working on also, trying to make a good brisket so I’ve been taking notes and making videos so I can remember what works. As for the grill, you got me thinking, probably will post one about it. But I’ll tell you here, it’s taken some getting use too. This video is from my first. As of yesterday I’m on my 4th brisket and I think I finally figured the smoker out. At this point I’m still happy with it. The only drawback right now is that it is really not the best at just straight grilling. But that’s not what it was made for. It’s also a lot bigger than I probably needed. Anyway a lot said here. I’m going to try to put it in a video the next time I use it.
