Hi! For this book I did not use a color system for the tabs, but for highlighters I used "info" , "foreshadowing", "quotes" and "funny". I don't do this anymore, though!
I dont really have rules! Any part i like or relate to, i annotate :) sometimes i even comment if i have even the tiniest thoughts, but I stopped doing that 😅
Hi! I don’t use an annotation key. I just tab quotes i like , moments i love, or if i have a comment! I have become more discerning about what i tab now though 😅
The Whispers! ❤❤❤ lowkey was waiting for this hehe and I'm glad you loved it po. Also adding it to my tbr, of course Ashley Audrain 🙌 4:32 lovely YY 🥹 her new haircut is perfect for the summer 😊 4:51 love the book log! 💕
I picked this book up out of a little library without looking at any of the book names, it’s been haunting and I’m not even halfway thru 🥲 wild to me that this is the first book I’ve picked up in years, I picked it by random, and I ended up with broken.
The wife's backstory of having that kind of 'forgetfulness' when it comes to doing questionable violence was nicely planted as foreshadowing? Your narration of the sequence sis is already a storytelling so satisfying 💯
30:23 honestly sis, this is one of my hesitation reasons with fantasy as a genre - often, when the world and magic system is so complex, i feel...dumb lol 😂 so you encapsulating everything so accessible to grasp and still gripping, waaaah. You explained your feelings so well
thank you sis, much more realizations have actually come to me days after finishing the sequel. indeed, fantasy is such a challenging but rewarding genre!
17:54 😂 writers can inevitably link world buildings, i think. though since like you said that didnt get much traction as much as this duology did, looks like Laini Taylor finally polished it here.
11:53 your questions are sooo nice, that's a strong mark of an excellent book, if it makes you wonder and ask possibilities because it's a testament to you being so involved in the plot 👏👏👏
Waaah 😮 Tbh sis I haven't gotten around to reading these books because my experience with Daughter of Smoke and Bone... 😅 I find her writing quite intimidating but whoa you got me interested here 😁
I love Animal Farm and George Orwell! I'm a foreign student, with Japanese major and English minor. We have 1984 on our to-read list for English Literature and I'm so excited to read more from Orwell. I've seen that the ratings for 1984 are even higher than Animal Farm, so I have high expectations, since I liked Animal Farm so much. I'd like to add that pigs are commonly associated with greed and gluttony.
6:00 whoaaa sis i am also sort of in my filipino movies supporting era haha. we should discuss this plssss 🥲 i am .. quite pleased and impressed with a lot of our country's recent offerings!!! 😭 so much promise and improvement i swear 💯
wow glad to hear that sis! I don't watch much filipino movies (or movies in general haha) so I don't know how much it has improved, but I'm glad it has!!
6:39 the literary fiction perspective encouraging us to be more analytical in writing executions yasssss i love this so much sis 💯 you are absolutely correct in weighing the credibility of character credibility vs storytelling 💯💯💯
omygosh i know the count of monte cristo is amazing but the thickness is throwing me off 😭 the edition you have is so pretty tho! versus the ones i usually i see in libraries and stores
haha this edition was why I finally bought it! though I think the Penguin Classics is still better in terms of the translation (too bad it's not as pretty). And yes, it's so long! took me months to finish haha.
14:37 hahaha birthday girl's so cute ☺️ 14:56 ❤❤❤ 16:12 Feb 2024 was really the time to be a Swiftie, so much happened! 😂❤ 32:14 so cute!! 🥹❤️ 32:38 another great set of books po! I am still intrigued by The First Day of Spring, but watching your review makes me scared to read it cause I know my heart will shatter in pieces once I read how the mc has to go thru all that 🥺
