I've seen a QR code one were you scan it and they get access to your acc, or a very sneak technique of being able to mask a link by using some of discords functions making it look like a normal link. They're getting pretty advanced out here if you ever have to contact their staff through discord its 100% a scam.
the QR code ones give you a prompt when you scan it saying your logging into another PC and not reedeming anything, theres other methods like ratting, token stealing. I just recently found out that people are still doing this to people who have more than like 40 USD spent on the account // have nitro with a card linked, if it dont they resell the account deoending on the year that the account was made. Per say a 2017 account with a linked card can go for 100 ish depenending who the seller is.
@@VoidMusicc I've never come across someone trying to rat me I think its on the rarer side since you actually have to download something, the most recent one I came across is people asking me about dropshipping and telling me to make a shopify account, I'm not quite sure how it works since I only listened to them for the first part but they'll message you back on multiple accounts if you block them and even message you through a mutual server. NTTS releases allot of videos on discord scamming methods which is really nice to watch if interested just to be more aware.
@@Darshvoid one of my buddies got ratted cause he downloaded something that was sent from his friends account saying it was a game, which if he was smart enough he would’ve seen that’s an obvious scam cause who just sends a game through discord, but it is rare as a lot of them do end up just using some kinda scam like this, i’ve seen about 4 people have this issue and it’s annoying
So this scam isn't anything new, its actually a very old scam. The thing is, you can't really do anything about it since the account they contacted you from is most likely one of the scammed/hacked accounts they managed to obtain. The only reason why they try to scam/hack your account is to sell them for what they are worth. Not only that, they will also try to charge your credit card or any payment method attatched to your discord account to buy discord nitro gift links then sell those to other people. I only know of this scam from another RU-vidr known as @NoTextToSpeech . He covers a ton of the discord scams that go on and he recently went over this scam not to long ago. To say that this scam is effective is an understatement. A lot of people get scammed/hacked by this method. Mainly the older people who use discord and the very young users aswell. www.youtube.com/@NoTextToSpeech
