Nice to see we humans came a long way abolishing all these monarchy systems and accumulation of nations wealth to a specific family. People power, democracy and education to all are the new age India and way to prowess.

it amazing how much character and information you get from these photos like the one @ 2:00 you know that's organic there not posing like todays society. each shot is capturing life as its happening. i don't have vastly knowledge on 1800s camera tech but i assume it would be take a shot then replace the bulb (if not more) which adds to the magic of these vintage photos
Why aren't women as beautiful as this any longer? And I'm not just talking about fashion. Bone structure etc. Hair. Of course these are set-up shots - but even so these women evince class and a certain kind of feminine vulnerability which remains beguiling. We've lost it. Sadly.
They are 100% natural, that's why. No surgery, excess makeup, etc. A little photo altering and trickery, of course, but even without all the altering they are still incredibly beautiful. You can find candid photos on most of these women online.
Fantastic collection. How then Madras was beautiful and princely city by British rule with their Building architecture showcasing the marvel and beauty of irreversible structures like the High Court Buildings and other historic buildings like Ice House, Presidency college Light House, Santhome Church and many, many buildings still stand tall even now and the Tram services moving across the roads a delight. Only to think Old is Gold
VM, We now live in an age of Super Shallow Commercial Over The Top Exaggerated Well Over Paid Men& Women who go to Extremes Skinny or Fat for their 15 to 20 minutes of Instant Gratification. Back then it was a Real Dream Hope Possibility with additional talent to go forward. RCJ/LEO
@ 5:55 He was wearing something more formal than a Tuxedo, it is white tie attire, the most formal attire under the sun. But the waistcoat is slightly slipping under his tailcoat, so I do believe that is not good, but the only Indian I ever saw wearing it, so I forgive him for that.
@@timp1051 No, not at all. There are very recent DVD on sale with two of her movies. I've bought a book written (also very recent) by a historian coming for her hometown. There is almost nothing abought her after her carreer. She answered to some interview, but is was rare. Her last interview was in 1952, for a film history book.
