I enjoy woodworking and DIY so have set up my own workshop in my single garage I'll document all the things I build and the challenges I face.
The channel is called Where's My Pencil? because i'm always loosing my pencil!
Rather than set up a Patreon page to make money for myself, I am using my channel to raise money for a cause very close to my heart. This year I'm raising money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at my local hospital where my daughter spent time when she was poorly after being born.

Great video well explained and demonstrated. I've watched a lot of different videos but this is the one I'll be using when I get my new shed in avouple of weeks. Great Stuff👍👍👍
Hi I have watched lots of videos on workbench builds, router tables and others such as a band saw table. I obtained a nice SIP bandsaw last year and jave been converting an old summerhouse into my new shop. This is the simplest bandsaw table I have viewed, I will likely use your design, it will fit my small space well I know this is 7 years old 🙂 but thanks for your channel. I really like the way you explain what you're done without the unnecessary waffle that some have.
If you were drilling wood onto brick can you just put the plugs into the wood with a hammer and then let the screws drive the plug into the brick or is that a bad idea.
Good vid mate. You got it sorted. I pretty much agree with every point you made. To do some serious planing with an hand plane the bench does seem a bit wobbly.
Great video.... very informative.....but I hate to see someone doing D.I.Y using hand tools pieces of wood wearing flip flops.....no feet or toe protection
Very good video. Am about to embark on replacing my back fence so this is very useful. When you nail the feather boards on, does the nail go through outer and board under neath it or just the Outer one with the overlap holding the underneath board flat? Just when I did this previously with some expansion, the inner board split.
Great video thanks. I have to lay a similar sized shed base quite soon and your video has covered pretty much everything and is nice and logical and clear to follow. Big thumbs up!
I know it's an old video but a tip for future viewers: an easier way to cut the initial kerf when the blade hits the bottom of the insert (throat plate), install the original insert with the fence alongside it. Using dbl stick tape, attach the new insert directly above it. Apply a 2× brace over the right side of the insert & clamp it to the fence to secure it in place. Turn on saw & slowly raise blade all the way up to cut the kerf in the new insert. Remove the old insert & complete the cut up through the new one. It's precise as long as you've lined it up accurately and clamped it down securely. Hope this helps...
Amazing and fairly cheap design, I'd definitely try it out. Question - does the material slide well on raw MDF? I'm considering this build without the 8mm plexi and I wonder If it will serve its purpose without that addition. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great video! About to try rhis with my will be home office. You decided not to use any damp proof membrane, or instal a vent. Any issues with damp or sweating? Is it a felt roof ? Thanks
