Good trip! Fished shoe from the 80s as a kid with my parents until early 20s, i Haven't been in 20 years but making a trip in next few weeks, but the fishing is way different now a days alot less walleye and a ton more bass and smaller now a days. If could experience 80s and 90s there alot more masters in there and bigger fish also
@ManitobaFishingAdventures ya I was reading a older online post saying the limits been raise on bass, before they were pumping them in there also with walleye too but issue is fish grow to their environment. Lots of walleye you get smaller sized walleye same with bass but the lake has been an insane amount of bass population now. Some back lakes I have been going to in that area this past winter based off size of pike and walleye we were catching I suspect high populations in those lakes too. A ton of exploring to do yet I gotta make a trip or 2 with the boat in these back lakes to figure some areas out since some of them aren't accessible in the winter by truck due to curents but can get through in the summer with a boat
LOTW is such a beautiful body of water. I want to start fishing it more, it's a 3-4 hour drive drive the road from home so I'll go whenever I have a tank of gas to burn lol.
I've been racking my brain trying to upgrade the software and now I know why it hasn't worked. I was using a 64 gb micro sd card and you stated at the beginning of this video that only a 32 gb card will work. Nowhere in any of the Humminbird directions, or their video, did it state that fact...NICE HUMMINBIRD!!! Thanks Josh for the proper info.
@@matthewwollmann5803 A shimano Compre or Daiwa CDN Custom would both be great options! A little higher end would be the shimano Expride B... such a nice rod, feels like an nrx but 1/3 the price
@@matthewwollmann5803 They're pretty versatile. Get a 7 foot medium power fast action and you can use just about anything on it. Jerkbait, hanging a minnow, swimbait, topwater, etc.
Where i live i normally fish for huge alligator gar and catfish and i recently got a fly rod and when i first used it the drag was super loud and my homie comes running up to me and says which rod was going off lol we normally use big reels with clickers for gar
haha yup! Trying to angle the boat in a way so the wind isn't as bad, but just end up wasting time and not fishing as much ... better than being at work tho!

@@IRemnantsI thanks for watching man! It’s a 16’10” alumacraft with a 50hp on it! I love it, it’s great for anything in whiteshell and lotw I think. I wish it was a foot wider, but it fishes 3 people out of it no problem ! Anything under 16 ft boat I think wind can be a big issue, trolling motors help a lot with the technology of staying on a spot, but I’d say a 16-17 foot boat is great for all around angling on 90% of whatever weather throws at us!

Thanks for watching Nicholas! The spinning setups were all around 7 foot medium light/medium with 2500 sized reels, 10lb power pro & 7lb fluro leader. The casting rods were medium heavy 7'6" with 200 size reels, 30lb power pro & 10lb fluro leader!
