ShakaShine Reacts, great reaction...ok Bird left Indiana U. as it was a huge powerhouse with the great but bombastic task master Bobby Knight as Coach...Bird was dirt poor, didn't even have nice clothes or anything, and was a self described 'hick from French Lick,' he was intimidated and felt out of place (my words, not his)...so he quit and went home...he was a garbage man amongst other menial jobs for awhile, then his father committed suicide when he was only 18...coaches from Indiana State U., the much smaller and unheralded unknown little sister to big giant powerhouse I.U. with Coach Knight convinced Bird to try again...Bird felt comfortable there, no limelight, and the rest in history...of course he grew to love the pressure of the spotlight, but that came later, after losing to Magic in the 79 title game, where he played poorly...in 84 he got him back though...the rivalry, which became friendship, was legenadry, between the 2 of them they made the NBA what it became...LARRY LEGEND FOREVER, THE TRUE GOAT AMONG GOATS!

You have to watch several full episodes. This show was really about exposing racism and hate. It was not glorifying Archie, he was a compsoit of extreme racism to the more subtle raciest.
As far as music goes. Pink Floyd, Comfortably Numb came out in the mid 70s. David Gilmour is the guitarist for Floyd, now fast forward to David Gilmour comfortably numb live at Pompei 2016. David is 70 years old in this video and is better than ever. Especially the 2nd solo. You'll experience the sound, lights and atmosphere of Pink Floyd, a must experience YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED.
Jefferson’s, All in the family, Sanford and Son were all a way with showing what was going on in the world but in a hilarious way!! Back before everything was offensive!! We laughed at the stupidity!! They never really said what Archie was.
The show was meant to make fun of racists people. Carroll O'Connor was totally opposite and even marched for equal rights. He wanted to point out how racist people were not the smartest. This show really shines a light on that and helped changed the world.
The whole point of the show wasn't to change Archie. It was to have the TV viewers see a part of themselves in the Archie character which they didn't want to admit does exist within themselves. Hopefully to bring about change in all of us Archie to some back then was considered a loveable bigot. Today 50 years later, we should all know that a bigot is just that a bigot. Or do we? A thought provoking comedy even today
Been a BIRD watcher since his senior year @ISU 1978 and his games televised in Boston! I attended all his home games in Boston from 1981 to 1987. I moved to Miami and bought season tickets in their starting season +3 JUST to see the Celtics. In car crash and Larry provided massive inspiration for my physical therapy to walk and race sailboats again! Couldn't have done it without him as as example!!!!!!
60's, 5th DIMENTION joined two songs from the Musical HAIR. 🤗 Through their Musical Harmonies 5th Dimension did so much to defeat Prejudice advance civil rights
Archie is a parody of a 1970's post WW2 ignorant white man. Carol O'Connor was extremely liberal in real life. He took the part to comedically highlight racial issues.

It was the soundtrack for a movie, they made a small movie video of this song for the real movie which i think is better than the other live version video. No FB , no tik tok it would take months before you heard the new music sometimes if you weren't in LA ot NY
LeBron shoots 18% with 5 seconds or less in the game. He shoots 15% from 3 point range with 5 seconds or less on the clock. Larry Bird is the most complete abd clutchest shooter to ever play basketball. Bird averaged a 50-40-90 over 4 consecutive seasons
