Thank you su much. These 2 video's are VERY help full. I have the V1. Will open mine to see if i can spot why it doesnt produce enough coffee fluids, i do hear a hissing sound inside, like a leak. It does make sound pumping, the pump is working and does give tea, but no coffee.
good evening . please from the bottom of my heart if you can help me. I have a melitta barista, it grinds coffee, but it throws the dry coffee into the waste basket, but no coffee comes out at all, what could it be? thank you!
thats a bit odd. sounds like a cpu error. unplug from the wall for 10 minutes and turn on again. if this dosent work youll want to seek an authorized service center
Hi, I’m after some advice from you. I have the barista ts machine. Firstly it started to take no milk in and also not draw any hot water through. It would just dump it in the drip tray. At this point it was still producing coffee. However, after running out of water it will now not take in any water to fill the machine. Can you help identify what’s wrong? Thanks in advance.
hard to say. it sounds like you may ahve an issue with the same valve asx in the videos, but could also be the overpressure system on coffee side too. not sure. requires more diagniosis
I’m trying to put my machine back together after it was showing system error 08 and wouldn’t turn on so I took the side off and took out the piece you put back in at the start at 20 seconds. Now I can’t get it back in and can’t move the lever to “lock it in place” probably because it’s not going in enough. Any advice what I’m doing wrong?
Hi...Found your video as I'm getting an 'insert drip tray' fault on mine. When you turn it on, it comes up with that straight away, even though it's in. Repeatedly pulling it out and putting back does nothing either. I found another video where they replaced some resistors on the main circuit board to fix it, which seems a bit extreme to me. I don't suppose you'd know if it would more likely just be a faulty drip tray sensor do you?
I am still stuggling with taking the top off. I removed the hidden screw but it doesn't seem to budge and I don't know where the plastic top makes contact with the rest. Any advice would be appreciated. P.S. I only have the Barista T.
Now I got the dreaded flashing "The drip tray is missing" on the screen. When I measure the tray switch I got 1.5V when not engage and 0V when engage. Is this normal?
I'm not sure, it's a reed switch if I recall but not sure if normally closed or open, or the voltage. I would assume it is correct however. This sounds more like a board signal issue than the sensor. Hard to tell tho
My machine has started to have these sizling/fizling noises after using milk so I suppose it is the ceramic valve? Is it possible just buy the the ceramic valve instead of the the whole kit including the motor?
I'm not sure. It's possibly the ceramic valve. Are you noticing any water or steam leak? I'm unsure if you can buy a refurbished kit or just the white le valve and motor assembly. There have been multiple versions so it is unlikely you can just buy a rekit for the head.
@@JimTheCoffeeGuy Thank's for sharing the diagrams. The machine works and it is difficult to say if it leaks as there is always a little bit of moisture when I open the machine. I The machine has brewed about 5 500 cups so mayby it is time to change the ceramic valve?
@@joakborj I would say yes, it couldn't hurt to change the ceramic valve. It could be a leaking overpressure device attached to the ceramic valve too. Again, hard to say.
@@joakborj that's right, the little black nub. I'm not sure on sourcing the correct ceramic valve I'm sorry. They were up to version 5 a few years ago when I made my videos but I'm not sure now. The part number has likely changed since then also. If it is for the same model machine as yours, and had the same input/outputs it should be compatible
No sorry, I'm not familiar as I only used prefiltered water in my machine. Having said that it sounds like you need to run the filter change program in the system menu (memory is foggy on this sorry)
@@RobvanTichelt-sf7wo what exactly is wrong, does it come up with an error message? It sounds like you have a restriction somewhere in the water system.
Hello. Thank you very much for your hard work. I am having the same Coffee machine, and I can’t use it as I am getting the message on the display that my tray is full and need to be cleaned. I tried everything, but still not working. Would you be able to help me, please? Thank you
It sounds like the sensor for the drip tray water level is either dirty and may need cleaning, or there is a machine issue. I would recommend taking your machine to an authorized service centre if cleaning the sensors does not help
Hey Jim, great videoa. I've just purchased the Barista TS Smart but I have a question. When mine starts grinding, you can hear the beans being ground and then the grinder continues for a few more seconds but you can tell it's not actually grinding anything? I'm not sure if the unit has a set 'grind time' and therefore the actual grind depends on the grind settings or whether I have an issue with my hopper / unit? When you start yours do you find that the grinder continues to run even though it's not actually grinding beans?
Yes, this is normal. It is because the beans are dosed into the one grinder (so you can seperate hopper 1 and 2 with no cross contamination eg regular and decaf)
Thank you for the video! About a month ago my TS started having problems. At first it was just the low temperature of the milk, but now I have water leaking from this valve. The part number you have in the video is 592, the only compatible one I can find is 594 12 24v v5 6772332. I will order it from eBay, hope it will fit the system :) I just sent you a request for the parts manual, please!
My machine has an unusual fault where it grinds, starts to extract, pouring out and then there is a sound like a puff or air escaping and then nothing much comes out. It also does the same thing when rinsing. Frothing milk and plain hot water works fine. Have you seen this before? I’d really like to fix it as I love my Melitta Barista TS…😢
Hi Robin, this sounds a lot like the overpressure valve activating due to a restriction in the coffee system. One of several potential issues. 1) your coffee grind is too fine 2) overpressure valve is worn out and requires replacement 3) you have a coffee blockage in your system. As a first step, I would suggest removing and manually rinsing/cleaning of the brewer if this has not been performed in a while. Then reinstall brewer and run several coffee system cleans back to back. First time using no tablet, second time with tablet. Alternate tablet/no tablet for 6 cleans total. If your issue continues after this the blockage/restriction may be too severe to clear without manual disassembly and cleaning. Try this and let me know how you go
I’d I still had the caffeine would. Mine has been retired for some time now. If you haven’t already look through the video comments for the service manual link. This can help a lot
So I am glad I found this video, I bought this thinking it would be good to help charge my phone and tablets over night as we go camping 2-3 times a year. Saddly it doesn't or at least through the USB port. So I what I did was buy one of those 12V USB C Car Charger Sockets that has the USB QC3 and USB-C PD ports on them. I then used a 2.1-5.5mm DC port with open ends and attached it to the Car Charger Socket with crimping and some shrink tubing. the Car Charger Socket has a Volt read out on it ( shows it holding 12.5-11.5 volts) and charges my phone and tables in 45 mins. With the 2.1-5.5 mm DC connectors there is so many things you can run on this. The fact I can let this run over night and not worried about it overdischarging my Batterys is a freaking godsend You can run anything with that 12V port, so long as its nothing to crazy like a DC-AC interverter but you technically could. I would suggest using an M18 adapter the runs to a 13.8V DC Voltage Converter for that right from the M18 with a Digital Low Voltage Protector Disconnect Switch set at 16volts so you don't over discharge your battery
Great work James! Glad my lil vid could help and even more awesome you used the 12v out with car charger socket! Very creative and viable solution. You probably couldn't run a 230v inverter off this, or at least only a small one as the battery And power source will have current limiting/safety built in. Keep up the great work dude :-)
Hi Jim, water has stopped flowing through my Barista TS Smart. I turn the machine on, the tank is full of water, but the water level doesn't go down, and ultimately it ends up with saying fill tank. I think water flow was slowly getting worse, and ultimately has got to the state it is now, with no water flowing at all. It's now stuck on a descaling cycle, as it can't get past the 'fill system' stage. Do you have any suggestions? I've had a look at the drainage valve by unscrewing the panel behind the brew unit, and removed any coffee stuck around the springs, but that is it so far. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
There are many possible failure points. This would require manually following the water flow path and possibly live testing. It could be the vibration pump, scale in thermoblock, blockage in brew system. I would recommend taking it to an authorized repair agent for assessment. Especially if it is under 2 years old (warranty)
@@JimTheCoffeeGuy Hi Jim, I have a similar problem, with a machine I can’t return. On switch on I had the problem of it not recognising that it had water. I’ve replaced the outlet Y shape valve which seem to work for a short time. I cleaned and descaled the machine and then made a cup of coffee. I then fitted the water filter. This resulted in that no coffee or water being dispensed. I immediately stripped it apart again to find the pump was extremely hot. My problem now being do I replace the pump which in the UK is quite expensive only to find another problem. Do you any suggestions about why the pump overheated as I can’t find any blockages?
@@pf7737 it sounds as if you have a restriction somewhere still. When you added the filter did you run the filter change program? Once the machine is coed down again and you try to run the machine can you hear the vibration pump buzzing away? If you can't the pump may be faulty, or there is a blockage somewhere on the other side of the pump and the high pressure is causing the pp to stall. This one is a trace it forward component by component problem so can be a bit tricky...
@@pf7737 ah. Ok! So your pump is fine then. You definately have an issue in the coffee system by sounds of things. If it can pump and heat water correctly, then your system is ok up until at least the ceramic valve (the problem in my videos) this valve directs steam/water from the thermoblock to the milk system, hot water outlet or coffee brewing system. So I would suggest you have a blockage somewhere. Most likely in your brewing unit or just after it.
Hi Jim, my machine started giving me less and less milk and then it stopped drawing milk up completely so I started doing my milk separately. Then it stopped giving me coffee too?
@@JimTheCoffeeGuyThanks, I have the latte setting to give a large amount of milk. I began to noticed the amount of milk froth was getting less and less and was having to press the button after the latte was supposedly finished to get extra milk. There was plenty of steam/noise and it was trying but nothing was appearing in the mug. I kept using the machine but pressed the coffee button and then added my own microwaved milk. And then all of a sudden it wouldn't give me anything. I have been cleaning it when told to using melitta chemicals. Thanks
@@apj1000 if you are getting plenty of steam, but no milk you likely have a blocked milk frother. This is the rubber piece in the outlet where the milk hose attaches. It is removable and can be cleaned.tske a look at this and let me know how you go.
@@JimTheCoffeeGuy hey mate, same problem but mine just stopped giving milk after a great coffee one day, no warning. i know about the rubbers & they're fine, huge steam, i think its gota be a split diaphragm in the milk pump, if it has one or in a tube as the pump is strong & the same beat as it always was & the steam is strong, no blockages. I don't think its the the steam action that pumps it from the container to the frother so its the pump system somehow. its not the type of milk. just read from your reply there are no pumps, i don't know how it can be as i've checked that & it's a simple system.
@@michaelg6364 there is no milk pump, it runs Venturi effect. Steam from thermoblock runs through the multi valve, and then put via a Teflon tube iirc. If you are getting strong steam, the issue is between the cold milk and the steam, most likely an air leak that stops milk being sucked up
Welcome! Bear in mind this is an older video and there have been updates since. I also recommend checking out Loaf's videos juzt search loaf deadside and he will come up.
I hope you see this post and are able to suggest something. After cleaning the brewing unit, it will not go back into place. It goes in half way and that’s it.?
Sounds like the alignment is out. Remove and re clean the unit. You may have to adjust the position the brewer is in (eg if you caused the brewer to move forward and up when cleaning it needs to be returned to it's lower position before insertion. Please also note and be VERY careful of the water inlet nipple on the left hand side of the brewer. This can easily be snapped off if the brewer is installed incorrectly.
I'm running my TS80P now on 5v after new firmware upgrade from the stock v1.30 firmware. Yes it's certainly slow to reach temp (approx 60sec) however now i know i don't need to rely on a 9- 12v input to run this thing!
Hmmmmm, it shouldn't have a coffee taste in the hot water. Unless you have a major restriction or issue in the coffee system it should not be possible to backflow to the hot water system.
This is funny and all but it's way easier to find a pistol. If u get cover inside a house or a window, u can take out a convoy as a fresh spawn with just an izh70, u need to get a few headshots tho, otherwise u will probably not have enough ammo. Or u could kill one with a mosin (k), wait for them to move on and then loot the body and use that weapon Edit: don't kill the boss first, or the convoy will stop moving
I had to figure out the 2nd and 3rd locations with trial and error, cause u didn't explain where they were on the map screen on how to get to them in case of the 3rd one. But with some time I managed to get them, but I have no idea where the Frick the 4th one is, pls make a new video
I listed and showed all the locations. Newer players who aren't familiar may not recognize the areas or names of locations may have some difficulty in finding them. Same with accessing them. Number 3 requires a bit of parcour. I didn't want to make it too easy for you either! If you watch/pause carefully at the very very end of the video there are two very clear (and intentional) shots showing the last location in beregovy (very near the southern safe zone) once you figure it out it seems silly it's not better known. Run Through the vid again and focus on the last second or so of footage. Oh and ah, there's the possibility that these spots can spawn the m99.50 cal too btw (lighthouse and southern factory wood walkway confirmed already)
@@JimTheCoffeeGuy I'll admit, looking around the 3rd location, tearing my hair out trying to get to the top of the tower, was a lot of fun, especially when I finally found it and it all clicked into place, that was pretty good. I'll try 4 again I guess. And to add to Ur information, I can confirm that lighthouse spawns m99s, I've gotten 2 (for reference I've gotten 4 or 5 vsds). Keep in mind I'm really lucky with m99s for whatever reason, I get them from medium missions semiregularly. And finally, ECLN can spawn at the 3rd location, I've only gotten it once, but I've only been there once. This is kinda way rarer than m99 among players. Thanks for the tips
@@notfunny3397 haha exactly. The satisfaction finding the spots is amazing! Let me know if you can't find the fourth one, Ill give ya a bit more of a hint if needed. Ps good catch on the ELCN. Scopes often spawn on top of the medium metal towers dotted around too. Mabey I'll have to do a video on that some time too?
@@JimTheCoffeeGuy for the 4th one, I think I've been really unlucky with it and can't find any spawns, I don't think I have the wrong spot. As for the elcn (I've gotten an hmr today too), weird thing is that it takes over the sniper spawn in the lighthouse for example, the scopes (hmr, pos,pu) spawn alongside the the snipers (got an m99 and hmr once), so I'm fairlysure the 3rd one is unique in this regard
@@notfunny3397 could be unlucky. It's an infrequent spawn for number 4. Not sure on ELCN and the spawns. It depends on the loot pool. Could also just be unlucky but who knows?
Hey Jim I have this machine less than a year - clean it etc but I just tried to make a coffee today and it goes to grind the coffee then it comes up on the screen “stopping” and keeps doing it - not sure what’s needed here? Any help be much appreciated
Does it actually grind? If you aren't hearing the grinding sound then it's possible you have a foreign object jamming the blades. If it is under a year old it will be in warranty. I would recommend returning it to your local authorized service centre for repair
