Our family has lived and worked in the city of Honolulu Hawaii for our entire lives. We have always loved the Big Island of Hawaii and have moved around the island for the last three decades. We decided to settle down to an offgrid minimalist lifestyle.

Beautiful water! We are going to be on Big Island in August and have been watching your videos, hoping to stick and taste some delicious Hawaiian fish. Thanks for sharing. Mahalo!
Aloha @Living Aloha. Mahalo for sharing your catch 'n cook fish! Looks delicious!!! Do you ever scramble the 'extra' pieces with eggs or use the skin/bones for soup?
I went and dove at South point against the jump cliff, drop my snorkel to the bottom. Lucky I found it and retrieved also, but that was my deepest dive lol
What an awesome video. Glad you got your fin back, and that big King Kole. Sorry you lost that Opelu Kala, they are so 'ono cooked on the fire with the skin on. Next time Unko! 😊🤙
Not a safe place to leave your car. Locals will tell you directly that you do not belong there. Very gheto and you probably wont have any wheels when you get back from the hike. Police need to clean the area up.
I also have the "sad" and "anemic" observations in my garden. Rodents annihilated the beetroots but spared the celeries, fennel, kale, peas, lettuce. But then again there are other creatures on the prowl. 😅 Gardening is exciting as my location is what Norwegians dubbed "Der ingen tro at nokon skulle gro...There nobody thinks that something could grow." 😂😂😂 I have garden envy where one can grow pineapples. Cheers to you and your garden.
Man I love your channel. The speargun videos with commentary are awesome. Please keep pointing out Hawaiian fish and their Hawaiian names for us westerners!
Almost the same thing happened to me. Same po'opa'a, same bait, same spot, except the second time I caught mine was 3 days later. Hearty and aggressive little creatures
