I have just bought one of these 2 man shelters and to be honest am quite disappointed, there is a basic design issue; 3 pieces of webbing, 2 of which hold the door rolled up the third is hanging over the middle of the door. They are all stitched into the seam that runs over the door to then hang down underneath the canopy so water on top runs through the webbing fabric - whoever designed this wants a kicking - why not just attach them underneath the canopy problem solved. What happens is the webbing acts as a conduit so water then soaks through from the top and drips onto the panels each side of the door and the centre of the door itself under the canopy, it leaves a run of what looks like dark ink (does dry off) but then starts to cause water ingress through to the mesh behind the 3 panels. This is only surface water running thats leaking through and not even downfall pressure nowhere near the 20,000 head of pressure claim on this all singing and dancing innovative fabric - if it's leaking with a trickle of water pressure it's a poor show. I am sure the wrap will sort this problem but that's not the point. Also I had it out 30/40 mph gusts and I ended up attaching 4 guy lines on it as it didn't feel safe enough with just the pegs in as it was moving around a bit more than I would like (I've camped out in all weathers so am fairly used to all conditions). Haven't tried the wrap on but suspect I couldn't use guy lines as no poles would be on show to anchor to. As far as quality goes it feels fairly good and well made but have had better waterproofing from a cheap £50 tent.
With the door shut in daylight hours, any shelter at 20,000 Hydrostatic Head material it will be pitch black inside. The light wouldn't penetrate this at all.
I'm here to update on Prologic's best alarms. Bought a 4+1 set in late 18' - been using regularly since without any issues. I switched to lithium PP3 batteries so I can recharge each via usb while on the bank, no more primary battery use. They excel in predator fishing where resistance is a negative, unlike carp or barbel fishing. Eel, perch, pike and zander fishing? You need these if you can find a set, I bought another if my originals fail, looked after they're the best alarms I've ever had. They are a modern take on the classic Efgeeco Optonic alarm, using a light sensor in exactly the same way the old school ones do - along with the up to date features, wireless range 200m, dropbacks, sensitivity, tone, volume a night light and built in snag ears. Why they haven't found a cult following in the angling world is a mystery - possibly failures due to storing damp. Bring them back!
Hello Vackor41, what do you mean with fundamental shortcomings ? Can you explain these shortcomings for me please :-) because i am thinking about buying this tent... friendly greetings
@@user-kr9pg5sg3n Hello! I'm also about to buy one and was talked out of it in a fishing shop. It's worth reading the comments in other videos. This is my observation based on the video. 4 things I would have done differently. 1: I would rather fold the outer cover on the side and rear windows up than down. Catches water in the rain. 2: The winter cover is missing, does it come with it? 3: The windows are missing the transparent plastic film, you won't be able to see through it in the rain! 4: I would close the windows from inside the tent, not from the outside. I should add that they say it took 4 years of hard development and planning To copy other manufacturers with slightly different solutions? So it's not that difficult. I'm not saying it's bad, because there are smart solutions, but there are also incomplete solutions. @sebastianbielecki9568 3 months ago I've had this tent since mid-April of that year. If you don't want it to drip on your head in spring or autumn, wear a hat. And after a few disassemblies, pay attention to the seams at the height of the pegs. When the floor is not installed, I can see it from the inside. In two places, the seams on the pegs have loosened slightly, even though I pull them as hard as I can and when it rains, water gets in. Of course, it doesn't bother me, it's unnoticeable when the floor is unfolded, but it's better to know before buying. Apart from that, the tent is great, perfect 1, the downside for some people may be the side and rear windows that roll down, but it doesn't bother me. Last year it survived severe storms and winds, I felt safe in it, without fear of it being torn out or the like. Regards
@PikeSeeker 6 months ago Everything is fine and dandy, but why is there no foil rain windows attached with Velcro for this price, model and system? Because when it's raining from the front, the rain comes in through the mosquito net and we can't see what's going on outside anymore because we have to lock ourselves up and sit in a closet.
Make ones with recharge battery...... Honestly I was going to order a set because bite alarms with a light for a bivvy is a great idea but the fact I have to buy batteries everytime I go fishing has really put me off 😢😢😢😢😢
I don’t use this ones but don’t worry about the batteries it will be enough for months and best part if u run out always carry couple extra easy and light
