Welcome to my channel where you will find reviews of Trucks, SUV's, Travel Trailers, and Fifth Wheels! MY ultimate goal for my channel is for you to understand what the "actual" payload is versus what you see advertised online. I also show you the GVWR and GAWR so you know where to find it on each vehicle. Payload is arguably the most abused figure when it comes to towing Fifth Wheels and Travel Trailers so it's a good idea to know before you tow!
This channel is based on facts and opinions so be sure to do your own research before making any decision to purchase, use, install, tow, etc.
A note on the 10k gvwr. That’s the reason I bought a RAM 2500. It lets the company I own pull a higher rated trailer without needing to deal with the headaches of a CDL. Id have to run lower capacity trailers if it was a ford or GM truck.
Toyota Tundra is the best half ton on the market. Get so much value for the price. Overall has a far more robust suspension and power train than the big 3. Which matters when you need to be 4 wheel drive for extended periods of time in the winter or back roads, and plan on owning it long term.
@@MGMidget73 well that’s according to you but if you research it you would see that the new tundra has a bigger transfer case, bigger drive shaft, improved suspension.
Considering where they sit in the sales pack, I don't see how they can justify that pricing (but then again you could say the same about Ram). I'm surprised they haven't gotten rid of that ugly ass front end. I prefer Ford but I would trust Toyota to stand behind their product more than the U.S. automakers. I am fed up with the government messing with the market and everything overall in our vehicles.
Ugly Grill and Headlight Designs! The Red Laramie one is the Best of the Three shown looks wise, but still looks “Too Busy” for my liking. The Full on Black front ends look SO Cheap!
My nephew and his partner building houses and both trucks fell apart. Rear ends out 60 thousand. And now transmission at 90 thousand.?? Lol lol should have kept the 7.3 ? 😮
That front end looks terrible..... Rams are the best looking trucks to me. Why do that 2 it? This is coming from a chevy owner, Rams are just very nnice looking. Or they were before this one
Ram read this consumer wish list. Bring the 1/2 ton can design to the heavy duty trucks for a true redesign. Offer a wide track front axle in the 3500 with a pickup bed. Offer air springs in the chassis cabs like you have been doing with the 3500. Keep the megacab option and also offer it for the chassis cabs. Let Cummins do their thing and stay out of their way. Continue to let outside companies do your transmissions regardless if its zf, aisin, or Allison... Just no more Chrysler trannys. Make a 4500 with a bed on it just to shut us up. 😂
Awe, what a cute little truck. XLT F250 with a 6 3/4 bed: $55,510, and it can do real work(Ram 3500 tradesmans and Chevy HDs also available for mid fifties all over the place if you look). Also if you want a 1/2 ton I'd get a V8, like the coyote which gets better mpg than this anyways. WGAF about the torque if your payload is barely enough for a grocery run? Swing and miss TOYota.
They went down in my opinion. They should've kept the 5.7L and need to give it more payload. And why is the rear axle's capacity LOWER than the front axle? I don't think Toyota is serious about serving the United States with their truck anymore. They talk Texas pride but the big wigs in Japan are disconnected from our market entirely. What a shame because they're built in Texas.
@@thedd13ram I agree, but TFL talked to the chief engineer about why they didn't go diesel. Long story short: cost and emissions. Take it for what it's worth.🙂
Took one for a test ride, while doing oil change on my Jeep. Had a chance to ride for like an hour. Very impressive ride. The I-6 is so smooth and very powerful. No joke. It is NOT the HEMI, sounds wise. But, I have to say, you forget you are in a pickup truck. The interior is amazing. Very comfortable seats and great option on the Laramie. If I had the funds, RAM #1. I drove Chevy, GMC and the ride way better on the RAM.
5 years old. My Uncle had a 1993 W350 Extended Cab DRW Cummins with that plush red interior. Thats when I fell in love with Cummins trucks. Would love to have that truck now!!
We'll see how that hurricane is doing 10yrs down the road! It's definitely gonna cost a lot more to fix it when it breaks, and there's a lot more shit to break! PS Get the 3.92 gears and that eco mode doesn't kickin very often!
Love your videos man, keep it up :) You should also mention the torque starts much lower in the RPM on the diesel, and for towing its definitely king sitting at way lower RPM versus the V8's towing the same weight. However ... you should compare the 6.2L as well, as to me as much as I love the diesel (I currently own a 2024 Denali Ultimate with the 3.0L Duramax) it's just a lot more fun driving the 6.2L which I'm on the list for a factory order for a '25 for just because I miss the bit more fun with the V8 and highway MPG isn't terrible as you can sit so low in the RPM range on the V8 as well.
I will be buying a 2025 heavy duty as soon as they come available to order. I happen to know that they will be available with the ZF powerline transmission and only slight power bumps but way more cooling. I also own a 1st gen Cummins and 2nd gen Dakota with 5.9 magnum.
