Loved watching and especially hearing these cars at Famoso. Nothing in the world like at small block singing at high RPM’s. What does your car typically rev to? Has to be well above 9000 I’m guessing.
Typically this car will hit 10,500 at finish line With our Jr Fuel A motor. But with this motor in it now running nitro we only run it to about 8800 - 9000 rpm at the finish line.
Now that was pretty damn cool !! I drove a CIFCA FC many years ago when it was a 7.75 index. Was alot of fun and very competitive. We need an 85% Nitro FC cifca type class. A 5.90 class. Now, that would be really cool !!
Just curious what came off the car at 2:31. Looked lightweight, but would not want to get hit in the helmet with it. Frame by frame looks pretty cool as it came off and passed by lol.
Had the same thing happen to me at Island Dragway in New Jersey a few years back. Hold down was cracked.. Used ultra grey Permatex around hold down; ain't moved since.
We still can’t figure why they kept flying off. It was only the right side stacks that would fly off didn’t have any problems with the left side. We wrapped some electrical tape around the stacks were they clamp down. Seems to be working so far.
