Awesome music fam!! Love the almost romantic feel I'm getting from it. Never really her BBCSO sound so beautiful and classical. If I may ask a question, are you using Cubase 13 after using a previously released version? I'm thinking of finally upgrading to 13 form 11. Do you think its worth it?
@@AntonioEggert awesome thanks for the insight. I’m still running a Windows 10, I need to update to Windows 11 apparently to stay on track with certain things and then I can purchase the Cubase 13 for sure 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I understand it's a calm score, but I get an immediate need to compress it and push it up +1.5db for ambience. Fighting the loudness war is a feat we will never overcome as a civilization. The louder, the more it gets noticed sadly! But still! :D
Is this the out of the box mix? Incredible work here but something just doesn't hit quite right in that opening brass bit. We're getting some phasing that shouldn't be there, like I'd expect to hear if I accidentally enabled 2 of the same instrument around the same range. Layering brass in the same range can be dangerous, or the sampled sections just aren't great out of the box. Also sounds like it should be an FF/FFF section, but the samples just can't do that. Might look into some free/cheap options to get more dynamics out of the brass. The Free Orchestra by Project Sam has a nice epic brass patch, or perhaps the Brass Patch from Orchestral Tools Berlin Inspire. The Orchestral Tools Majestic Horn could also be layered in on the cheap if the sections just won't blend right.
Unfortunately BBCSO Brass doesn‘t convince as other libraries do. I tried to layer both naturale and muted instruments to achieve a better result but as you said something isn‘t quite right. For mic positions I used Tree and Ambient… maybe that‘s causing the phasing too. Nevertheless the goal was to only use this library.
