XY is perfect for the casual audience. Now the Ultra-games... Those are for those who love to battle. Not the nonsense Real Life Luck situation, but using the resources to overcome the obstacles the game throws at you.
Alpha Sapphire was one of my first Pokémon games and it brings me back so much memories. It’s so good, I’ve completed it so many times 😊 But other than that, very good video! You deserve more subscribers
Pokemon X/Y has aged like milk. The gameplay is bland and linear, with the most boring route designs in the series. The Kalos region feels disjointed, and the regional dex is a mess, with poorly distributed Pokémon that make the region feel like a soulless game rather than an immersive world. The characters are forgettable, the "friends group" lacks significance (it's so forgotten that we got a freaking "Friends in Hisui" Pokemon Card where the Legends: Arceus protagonists are with people who they never really befriended, before we got "Friends in Kalos" card), and the gym leaders/Elite Four are too easy with no real plot impact. The visuals are childish, with Pokemon Amie being a prime example of the game's stupid Windows Purble Place aesthetic. The plot is atrocious, and the game leans too heavily on Kanto nostalgia, failing to establish its own identity. Pokémon ORAS renders X/Y's Mega Evolution experience irrelevant, and even a minimal effort in a hypothetical Pokémon Legends game would surpass the experience of X/Y... And dont hit me with "You're being too harsh, this was GameFreak's first 3D Pokemon game!" because we're talking about retrospective revisionism for X/Y here and whether the games hold up. And X/Y simply doesn't hold up.
Title: “how good is the game?” Video: *20 minutes of literally describing what happened in the game Last minute: *actually explains criteria and reasoning 😂
i still loveeee x and y, even if they arent the very best, theyre still super fun and have a great story. the routes and town designs are suuuper nice and fun to explore, the music is just amazing, i love the characters, and even the new pokémon are fun and well designed. even though theyre super nostalgic for me, theres no bias in saying theyre one of my favs in the series 🥸
I still remember to this day the one time I was about to beat my older brother at Pokémon he turned off his Ds and said we will never speak of this again and ran off 💀🥲
well edited and nice sound quality but just feels like the title doesn't have much to do with the video i guess. this is a summary and a shot for shot explanation of a completely standard run, you don't elaborate on what makes it good in 2024 for the entire time, . i still enjoyed watching. But consider how there aren't really jokes or insight ("it is short, i like mega evolution, 8/10") vs. [there is a short post game, you don't access most of them till after e4, etc. playing through the game without exploring and spamming heals in battles. exp share is strong. why do you like emerald?] or a challenge presented in the run. those sorts of things could make it stand out more. thanks
Thank you for watching and the and the constructive criticism, I will definitely take what you have to say more into the matter on the next video that I have planned!
I'm blind nuzlocking Y right now and it's crazy how some of the random trainers are stronger and more dangerous than the gym leaders. Ive lost a few pokemon to random trainer battles
Pokémon Y was one of my big sister games she beat she then gave it to me to try my second time to play Pokémon game and beat it for now I came back and start again beating Lysander and ready to get the ice badge to go the kalos league game and enjoying the experience again, when I began to play it feels nice to remember the moments on Pokémon Y 🥲💖. The video was amazing :D
As someone who’s been playing since Ruby/Sapphire, I never got this complaint tbh. Yeah, X and Y are easy, but what’s wrong with that? It was still fun to steamroll through Kalos, especially if you played it on release and had the event Mega Blaziken with speed boost
@@fishinwizard6 Cause people care about different things? Why am I playing an RPG when the gameplay is mindlessly easy, the story is middling at best and the route and town design is very whatever outside of a few specific places? No idea what Im supposed to enjoy here. Being able to press the same button in every single battle without any hint of challenge just isnt fun for me. Other Pokemon games have also been easy but not to a point where I cant remember a single battle that required me to do any thinking at all.
@@Shazam1998 You know something? That’s absolutely fair. Whatever my reasons were for loving X and Y (Mega Evolution and it getting me back into Pokémon after Platinum are at the top), I generally prefer to play games to relax and go through stories. So it makes perfect sense to me that other people would want different things from a game, especially one like that. Did you get bored with X and Y your first time playing and drop it, or see it through to the end and then wonder when the game would actually “start” with postgame, battle frontier, whatever else? Or did you think the game was really forgettable because none of the battles stood out to you?
@@fishinwizard6 Oh I did finish the game once, and on my first playthrough i thought it was okayish. The second playthrough was when I realized just how many issues I had with the game. I think my first playthrough was carried by the excitement of having the first ever main line 3D Pokemon game.
I loved Pokemon Y, even if the difficulty was pretty easy. Tbh my favorite part was after finishing the Team Flare story where after I watched Lysandre unalive himself with the Ultimate Weapon after catching the legendary and thwarting his plans on enacting the Pokemon Holocaust, I immediately opened Pokemon Amie and started coddling the personification of death with cupcakes and belly rubs (Yveltal loves belly rubs and I find that hilariously adorable)
Love the commentary and editing my guy. I usually watch YT in the background while gaming and actually stopped playing to watch your vids. I could deff see you blowing up on here soon. Good luck and keep up the good work! PS ive always thought ORAS were better suited this gen rather than XY. These games seemed a little incomplete.
@@supimshadowDamn 2+ months and u have 281 I don’t even know how to edit good I’m stuck with KineMaster 😢 (I say 281 because u just earned a sub 3 mins into the video)
@@Lukasplays69420 Thank you for the sub! Like everything it takes time, practice and watching a lot of tutorials haha I've been editing videos for 10+ years now
