All about fishing the west coast with no talking and just fishing. No politics, no gloating, just straight fishing with text explanation regarding techniques, season, and gear used.
Is it bad I use the inverse klinch knot for almost everything. I like it because it was a knot I learned sailing and it holds 95% of the line poundage. Just want to know if I should start branching out. I have an app to teach me knots .
Excellent fishing! Hoping to get a kayak soon, watercraft vs bank fishing both have their advantages and disadvantages. Your video presentations are excellent and your knowledge is superior!
Where would you say you were in relation to Auburn? Just curious, my son lives in Auburn and would love to take him and my grandson fishing there! Thanks!
I'm a recent subscriber, I watched your Amador video and this one, great on describing Channel Catfish vs White Catfish or White Bullheads. I used to own a catfish farm and you are spot on, on your assessment of how these fish hunt and in the various locations. Pro tip, if you ever get stun by a Catfish barb, rub the catfish slime on the area and the pain will go away quickly. Hope to see you fishing sometime in the future!
Thank you so much I asked about fishing for Kokanee and using no DR !!! I’m very grateful for this info this will help me . I’m up in Tahoe with no DR at all . I asked what the setup was and it is given right here ! Wonderfully explained!!!!!!!
Kokanee are hitting in the big lake off Taylor Creek area, they're staging up getting ready for spawn but still chrome! Good luck, takes a bit to find em out there in the big water sometimes but once you do it's on.
Very nice video. I dont have DR's on my small 13' aluminum so I will be employing this technique. I will be using small trolling sinkers top lining for trout at Shasta at the end of Sept this year. How heavy was your weight and what line test did you use?
Have never caught a White Cat at Folsom, only Channels. I fish the trees with chicken liver without a weight and have done very well there. Can you get herring from the Asian market?
