wow. nice video... thanks for the thorough demo. I use 4 inno pocket spots as well, and I am wondering if I am gonna be able to send commands via the IR remote to these, and not have the pocket spots react to those commands as well... for instance blacking out one set, while keeping the other going. Buying 4 now.
Edwin Vivas Ochoa the sound lever was about 1/4th open, on a 2 x 150watt speaker system. The show is less pretty in loud music. It's pretty sensitive. Even at low microphone settings.
I have just ordered the new 2.0 version, just wanted to know if I connected a DMX cable running from my PA system to the gigbar will it work automatically going by the sound of the music from my speakers, or would I need to have a contoller to operate it? Also does the sound mode work off the sound coming from the speakers? Thanks in advance :)
I don't know if its even possible to connect pa to lighting via dmx. Dmx and XLR are very similar looking ports and are often mistaken to be one or the other. The DMX cable is used for light to light connections, and XLR is for audio connections. The Gigbar has built in Auto-Sound reactive programs and the built in mic will detect audio and cause the lights to activate accordingly. So, if you are just wishing for the fixture to be active to sound, then you just activate the sound-active mode via the controller, the back display, the foot controller or a DMX controller if you have one. You would not need a DMX controller to operate the light due to the built in functions and the additional foot controls and the IRC remote. Hope this helps.
I use them master slave, with the adj IR controller. Just keep in mind, to control them, you have to aim the IR at the front! DMX is also available, but i think master slave makes them work great.
Great effect! Can you tell me how far it was filmed? Compared with Spider 8x10 LEDs makes a big difference? Sorry for my bad English. Greetings from Brazil.
+Ruben Wollants Jazeker, naast de DJ booth. Op 35mm statieven. Master-Slave mode, sound active. 1 van de twins zijn "pan-inverted" ingesteld, om tegengestelde bewegingen te maken en omdat dan de IR ontvanger aan de goede kant zit.
I achieve similar results when tapping the controller, but if anyone wants something like this it requires some attention, not just turning to sound and forgetting about it....
Hi . Thanks for this perfect demo, as it not easy to find good review about this product. Just a question: it seems really powerful , despite it is only 3w lamp, do you think compare to spider 8x 10 w it can compete with ? Thanks
(My other account) i have no experience with the spider. Keep in mind this room was pitchblack. But the beams make the 3 watts push plenty of light. Ivan
no, one of them connects to the foot controller and one dmx cable from the master unit to the slave unit. have not tried two units to the foot controller. they wil not be in sync.
