Our story starts with a long road trip from Indiana to Utah. We decided to pack our bags and head west to focus on memories instead of materials. Since moving to Utah, we have started skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and backpacking. These activities afford us the opportunity to get outdoors and truly experience the beauty of our new state. We also purchased a motorhome and a Jeep so that we can take extended trips throughout the American Southwest.

Off Road Overland Camp just finished our journey of the Pony Express and saw the rider of the re-inactment at Grubb Wells Station 2024. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hUWRHslcUPk.htmlsi=cofoHM8phax2ulEU
@toddvanderham529 It took us about 45 minutes to reach the falls in our jeep. It would depend on the road conditions, your vehicle and speed you are comfortable driving. Here is a little more info from our blog post. Definitely a beautiful place to visit! keithandlindsey.com/jeep-drive-to-toquerville-falls/
We have season passes, but you can find more information about lift tickets on the Snowbird website. www.snowbird.com/tickets/ Are you planning to ski Snowbird this season?
We started on the Grass Valley side and used a GPX file from Jeep The USA, their site appears to be down though 😔 keithandlindsey.com/sand-hollow-for-wimps-3-0-our-wildest-jeep-drive-yet/
Kieth and Lindsey, that was the best day of skiing conditions I’ve ever had in my life! Even on the bum knee! Thanks for another great year of hanging out together!
@GoalieUnion It really depends on the day and the variable conditions. If the snow is icy and it's sunny then hitting Mineral in the morning is a good idea. If it's a powder day then Mineral is best at the rope drop and/or when there isn't a lot of people wanting to ride the Mineral Basin lift. They don't always open the area right aways on a pow day so it really just depends. The biggest thing we watch for is the Mineral Basin lift line. It can get long and it's the only way out of the area so we don't like to be "stuck" there and miss out on ski time. When you ride the tram to the top or ride Little Cloud, you can peak down at the lift and get an idea of the crowd. You can also download the Snowbird app and look at the lift line times. Are you planning a trip to Snowbird this season?
Yeah, I do have a very small amount of residual pain. This mostly only occurs when I push myself too hard. I always have to be aware of this and listen to my body. It hasn’t stopped me from enjoying my life though. 😀
It is true that Alta still does not allow Snowboarders. As a skier, I appreciate this as it keeps the crowds down. However, I also have friends that snowboard and it stinks that they cannot ride with me at Alta.
