I'm practicing to play this for my school year. I played it for a couple of people recently just for fun and one of them described it as heavenly. I'm trying not to let it go to my head but it feels really good to heat that they like it.
I just saw an episode of "Naked City" from 1963 where this song figures quite prominently. It's been buzzin' around in my head since then. Samba, Bossa Nova ? Finally found out the title on a Brazil 66 record.
I think this “promo” was recorded with the average school ensemble trombone player in mind. They could’ve probably find a guy who could record it in the upper range if they wanted. That’s probably why it was also recorded at a comfortable slower tempo.
