have to say S&W should bring these back in 327 Mag and also offer a 2.5 inch barrel as well. these would be really nice guns and could be 7 shooters. also have to say I like the poster behind you on the wall . good taste.
I got a Miroku Winchester 1886 a few months ago and mine has great wood and color case hardening. Unlike everyone else, I don't mind the tang safety for the fact the rifle is made in Japan and will never be confused with an original anyway; I consider the modern 4140 steel superior to that of the originals.
Did you put these on some forum page? I swear I just saw a 6" and 4" that had the same pattern on the grip. They probably all look the same but the poster had both.
Jim I must be lucky as several shops by my stock it. I just scored 100rds of the new Federal HST rounds which is probably the finest defensive load in 327 Magnum.
The Colt Cadet is nothing but a modernized version of the 1950's High Standard Duramatic, clever design that cuts on manufacturing costs for a reliable and very functional design. It's a mystery to me why Colt or some other gun maker doesn't bring it back.
@@mag318 Remington and Marlin are gone the same way; that happens when corporate interests precede love for the name and it's products. Gun companies should be bought and run by gun people.
Anyone contemplating buying one of these really great revolvers I highly recommend opting for the extra 9mm cylinder. It makes this revolver so much more versatile with your ammunition choices.
Bought a Nomad recently, online, am VERY pleased with my purchase! Already shoots just fine, much better than my aim!! (Cost a bit more than- $49.95), but feel every dollar of the price was worth it- the classics, like I feel this one is ARE worth their purchase price, as he intoned- they do NOT build them today like they used to, hard to beat that all steel, except grips, combo.
Greg if you like and appreciate the quality of the Nomad wait till you try a Challenger with its French Walnut grips, higher grade finish and the slide stop. These Belgium Brownings are addicting.
Of note after the first cylinder full I experienced no more light strikes. It was super cold when I made this initial video so whatever caused the light strikes has corrected itself.
I worked at a large gun shop in the late 90s & early 2000s and sold a few dozen of those. They were extremely ergonomic pistols, seemed very well made and several customer to whom I sold one came back and told me they were excellent pistols. The price was quite reasonable at the time as well. I kick myself to this day that I didn't buy one when I had the opportunity.
This is an excellent rimfire pistol that now are becoming somewhat collectable. If you come across a nice one in the wild I highly recommend grabbing it.
Be comforted my friend, be comforted, you have provided her with a quality firearm. This will defend her you and your family for a long time. My GP-100 was appropriated by my wife...I can live with that.
I just bought this gun, and even know I am shocked at how thin the grip is. I prefer 45 but have smaller hands, was doubtful when the said it was the same diameter as the 9mm version, but damn if it isn't true. It just melted into my hand.
Wow Ted, sorry to hear that. The few times I've dealt with S&W customer service have been very positive experiences. My Governors has had 100s of rounds thru it with no problems whatsoever.
@@mag318 Thanks, something with the silly lock that they added. I can't afford to lose $1000 with the ammo that is useless now. I told them that I was going to post my situation on as many channels as posible. I wish it didn't work out like this.
You spent a lot more time on the Beretta than on the CZ. Therefore it wasn’t a fair comparison. And there were a dozen other things you could have talked about but didn’t.
You're exactly right Glenn as I was highlighting the Beretta. I'll wait for your video with a more fair comparison. I do like the content of your videos by the way.
@@mag318 Ha! I don’t make gun videos, I just watch them. But I am honored that you would like the content of my videos even though I was not entirely complimentary of yours. I had just watch two others on those guns. One by the Honest Outlaw and one by the Firearm Guy. Also, I am trying to decide which of those two guns to by next. That’s why I was hoping for a comparison of the two. Thank you for your generosity of spirit.
@@glennrogers9905 Glenn you should make a gun video I'm sure it would be very good. Both pistols are very good choices so good in fact it was hard to make a choice, so I bought one of each. I started making videos on a lark just for friends. And though mine are amateurish compared to the likes of gentlemen like the Honest Outlaw and most others I try to keep them purposely short.
@@mag318 Nothing wrong with short. Being concise is a good thing. Some guys just ramble on and on without really saying much. The key is to make the most of the time you give yourself. Figure out what you want to say, make some notes, and jump right in say it. If you can find a way to be both concise and thorough you will have a popular channel.
The goal: Small enough to conceal, big enough to fight with. The Sig P-320C .45, the M&P 2.0C 9mm, or a CZ P-01... yeah, that's as small as I go. I like a barrel around 4" (not so much velocity loss and decent sight radius), enough grip to get all my fingers on it and change mags without pinching myself, controls that are reasonably sized for actual use, 9mm as an absolute minimum caliber, and a minimum capacity of 10 rounds. I don't care for tiny pistols at all. They're not fun to shoot, therefore you won't practice with it enough... and I am not all that concerned with no one ever seeing it because 1) People don't notice anything, 2) I am legally carrying and my permit is "Wear and Carry" not concealed carry, so I'm not really obligated to hide it, and 3) a pistol the size of a G-19 conceals readily anyway, even in light clothing. My new 320 in .45 is real sweet. Mine has the siglite night-sights on it... they're pretty big 'combat' sights which are not very precise, but fine for concealed carry. I put about 400 rounds downrange and honestly, straight out of the box it needs nothing. The ergos and trigger are great and it shoots right to point of aim. Nothing to complain about.
The Judge doesn't open up further than this. At 15 yards my spread is about the same as your 10-yard shot, but I have the 3inch barrel. It's consistent too.

I just hope I look as happy as you did in this video, when I go buy mine and shoot the first rounds.
