Honestly , it just depends. The fish bite usally determine that from day to day. I usally start at 7 foot and work all the way to the bottom until I find the depth the fish are at .
Erie is full of big channels, always was, I was up there in 78-79 and caught a couple of twenties and just using white bread, i was fishing for drum and ended up catching big channels. Those drum in Erie liked bread but found out the channels did too. Lol! I was at Camp Perry, 78-79 ? with the Ohio National Guard for summer camp but the middle weekend then they let us off so me and a couple other fellas went fishing. Anywho, a lot of nice channels buddy 👍👍🤘✌️!
Feb. 2023,, I've been researching Jimbo's pay lake, and found this channel. subscribed. I live up in Cleveland, so I am careful to get information whenever I travel more than 200 miles to fish and camp. This will be fun. I am 66 yrs old and can't climb all over the bank anymore, so I like pay lakes. End of March 2023, I'll be there. 3/24 - 28.
