Hi, Thanks for the review. It's very helpful. Do you know what kind of kickstand I can install on this Procaliber carbon frame bike?

Is there enough slack in the front end cabling to allow a clean and re grease of the headset without disconnecting the brake lines and re bleeding?

I have a 2023 trek, company will use low quality parts like rush Brake Calipers. And if you ask to have them upgraded it will cost you more.

Question: when shipping and the bars are removed from the stem, what could be used to keep the fork from moving in the headset? I use the Tri All 3 Sports hard shell care. From fork is clipped in but the bike could possibly still move so that it rises off the fork, even if just slightly.

The procaliber builds are odd. It's an amazing frame but trek doesn't do it justice. Notice the top of the line supercaliber is lighter. Even has a dropper post. They clearly want to sell more supercalibers otherwise they wouldn't short the procaliber builds like that. The top procaliber should be 700gr lighter than the top supercaliber

Why not just get a Domane instead of making a gravel bike into a road bike 🙈
@activcycles9222
@activcycles9222 11 месяцев назад
The Checkpoint just gives you more versatility, its very capable off road, but still rides well on road. Running a narrower bar is more of a personal fit choice and doesn't really affect the bikes ability to go offroad. The Domane can deal with rougher surfaces but is still better suited to road use.

Comes stock with lower gears. I intend to buy one if autumn prices make it possible. I will leave the gears stock. With my fitness, and the local terrain, lower gears, and lots of them, are a huge benefit.
@andrewnorris5415
@andrewnorris5415 11 месяцев назад
It's way more than gears that make these offriad capable. The angles, the wheelbase, stiffness and stength. Rely on smaller stems to keep manoeuvrable but have longer wheelbase. Ability to take bigger tyres too.
@ronstewtsaw
@ronstewtsaw 11 месяцев назад
@@andrewnorris5415 Not sure if you are replying to me. What I said about gears is true, and that's my starting point. But my intent is to swap in 32 mm road tires (probably on HED Belgium G rims) for randonneur riding. Add fenders and a headlight, and this seems as good an off-the-shelf bike as I can find for me and my riding. Most of my rides are 95% paved.
