We have a bristol 20 on the family farm. Hasn't really been touched for decades. I can't figure out what that thing is off the front left of the engine. Is to do with the governor?
thank you for posting the video. Great to see a running Vinco boat engine. I have one myself that is very much a wreck and missing a lot of parts. It is nice to see what one looks like when running. Mine does have the muffler with it however it is very cracked and rusted.
HI Dean, I'm not sure if it's the same model - looks and sounds like it - but we had a Buzzacott engine powering our farmhouse (32 volt dc) when I was a kid. I think, from memory, we ran it on kerosene. Many years after the farm changed hands, my brother approached the owner and arranged to buy it. He's a mechanical fitter so it won't be long before his looks as magnificent as yours.
