I'm in the middle of doing this job. Do you know if it's possible to get the inner bushing out without removing the whole arm? I've tried hitting it with a hammer and it won't budge. I can't seem to get the anti roll bar linkage off. The nut just spins
El termostato del enfriador, mejor montarlo en la bomba fuera del coche. Cuesta bastante meterlo a presión. Yo lo hice con la mordaza de un tornillo de banco y dandole jabón a la junta tórica.
@@itsajaaaag Mine is 2.2, I don't know if it has anything to do with it, the error it tells me is that it has insufficient recirculation gas flow or something like that. That's why the question.😅
Brooo I used to whip I nice silver one v6 and I haven’t found a good video of the 3-4 shift sound or on the highway when you let off the gas mine used to rumble and on throttle the bitch sounded like a chainsaw 😂 or BROOO the start up jet engine fans before you hit the key are crazy loud loll
Yes they all go no matter what, but on this one they aren't too bad, so worthwhile trying to protect them and future cost but eventually they will need doing.
Let me say first of all that's a brave move tackling the clutch on your own! Well done it's a job to get more than 65 - 70K out of one, they tend to fall apart as your driving, I had the same issue at 70K. it's normally injectors and cam belt with new bottom pulley next. The turbo's go on quite well on them. Keep it going we Like the channel and of course X types. 👍
Thank you for your helpful videos! I always watch all of them. Can i ask you to formulate the problem once again?:) I am afraid i did not grasp fully what it is this time. Probably i will have to do the same on my jag...
Ok if you look in the front arches either driver side or passenger side after removing the arch cover you will come accross a rubber bung, now that rubber is useless as it traps all the water and leaves, hence i removed it and you see all the crap and mud come out.
18" alloys are either Aruba , Valencia, Proteus or Melbourne. The standard Aruba's are quite fragile to potholes so go for the performance drop forged ones off the later cars. Can't help feeling what a nice car but needs the 2.2 in it with the 6spd box.
Depends if you are capable of doing the work yourself, if not then i understand. I've spent about £2k in 6 years of ownership, i'll take that over depreciation of a newer car.
Remember your as well to do the dmf if your going to the extremes of a clutch. Did my 2 litre d and its really driving like new...From my experience, the Jerky acceleration was a turbo boost pipe split, however I have put all new filters and ran wynns diesel injector cleaner through several tanks. She runs like new, no smoke pulls like a train. These 2 litre turbos are immensely torquey....looks great 👍
I am saddened to see you it go. I have been following your video for a long while now, . however that is the problem with these cars,. they have so many common problems I have mine 5_years and changed all the same things you have, starter, injectors, brake cable, Belts, alternator, water pump. door handles etc. only got it back last week from Ford expert who looked at the wiring for me. I know the shocks, bushings and other rubber is starting to perish, I am afraid to check the sills So do I put more time/money/effort and "off road time" into keeping it,, or let it fly as beautiful as the x-type looks ,, it does not drive like a 2018 Merc C class :(
What a shame, mine has just turned 20 this year and running well., it a 3.0 V6 AWD with 79,000 miles. I found your videos very helpful as I like to do as much on mine as I can. I do hope you get another one and keep the informative videos coming for the XType
It's a shame, mine is now running flawlessly, I don't know if I would get used to another car. I've only been with her for 20 years. For my job I drive many different cars, but I always want the afternoon to arrive so I can get in my jaaaag. 🐯 Anyway, I hope your other project goes well.
This week I had to change the crankshaft pulley on mine, a 15 minute job and it turned out wonderfully. Good video. I'm especially interested in the first part when you remove the door, because I want to do the same, to adjust the handles.
lift up the gear gator surround carefully, under there should be 2 screws remove those and then the bin assembly will lift out, i will do a video on it.
Had mine 5 years on 1st July 2024. Had a drive belt and ecg cleaned and that's it. I can drive 300 miles in such comfort. I was 60 on 12th September 2023 and this is the most comfortable, reliable and beautiful car i have ever owned. She is called Jessie Jag. A 2009 2.2d Automatic in Gunmetal Grey. Love your videos, keep them coming.
I had that problem with my 04 2.0 diesel took me 4 weeks and a shit load of money to get it to start,I must say that with everything I renewed its now running better than it has in the 10 years I've had it,problem was the fuel pressure sensor on the end of the common rail,it was like a diesel locomotive when it started whole street was blacked out with the 4 weeks worth of diesel in the exhaust burning off,bet the neibours were saying ,its only that daft old f###er with the old jag again.😅😅
