Looking at the current incarnation of Pyro as being the Mirror Universe of Stanton, at least for now, is a good way of looking at it. So, would the Pyro reflection of Hurston be the good guys?
I mean, if it has the same content as Stanton, but spread out across more space, its still comparatively barren. But even still, calling Pyro the Mirror Universe version of Stanton might just be because we don't see the final product of it yet. We just know its population has blown up relative to the sparse pitch that was given years ago.
I'd rate your spproach to pros snd cons of performance parts to be a 10 out of 10. I hope CIG takes this sort of approach to solve racint vs combat issues with MM.
A testing script which can also be called a testing plan, is a good idea. However prefer to spend my time in the PU since I'm not paid to hunt down bugs for SC. If I find them in the PU, I report them but i don't go out of my way to find them.
I am keeping a Nomad in my fleet simply for the reasons you state. Able to move cargo from or to a cargo elevator easily/quickly and also carrying vehicles. I will have to wonder how the Zeus CL an perform in this task but thst ship will easily be acstep up from either the Nomad or the Hull A worh its 128 SCU capacity.
I really want to see how CIG handles smoke and fire in zero gravity...your redice to smoldering would work but then thst becomes a stopgap unless if gravity is tirned off long enough gor the fire to go out instead of just almost hibernating.
I had never thought to consider Pyro as the Mirror Universe of Stanton, with how you explained it... It makes perfect logocal sense. I have to wonder will Star Citizen eventually have a system that reflects the Borg episodes of TNG...or even better the Q episodes...I wished they could have let Q be on more episodes... He was entertaining. But I realize people would then have only watched the episodes with him and ignored the rest...
I understand their desire to make Pyro a more nuanced / involved system but I'm not really a fan of the retcon work to make Pyro more hospitable... it never really made sense anyway - a hub system with that many jump points to so many other core systems would make it far too strategically valuable to the UEE to let it fall into the hands of outlaw factions. The Mirror, Mirror episode of ST:TOS is a real fan favourite, but my personal favourite mirror universe was in Red Dwarf :)
Thanks for the video. I still feel like in progress work is hidden inside of a concrete box. Myself personally, I'd be a lot happier if the teams focused on stability first and then worry about features. But that does seem to be the nature of a sass offering.
Mirror Mirror Universe on the wall, will Star Citizen ever find it's place at all? There's been so many (necessary) changes over all the years that Star Citizen was in development, and the game is still playing catch up with industry trends. Given what they want Star Citizen to be and how much longer it will still be in development, everything we know about Pyro right now could change again if the industry changes, and especially as new technologies become available. Truly a development hell, reminds me of those mega construction projects that have been million dollar dumps. Let's hope Star Citizen won't be that.

I think it will lose it Mirror Universe feel once you have more system in play. However i wonder how long it will be once we will get relativly empty systems that require lots of planning to get through and at what pace they will grow new systems after 4.0
I understand the playability aspect and a mirror universe of stanton will be interesting. But if every system is just similar to stanton, they will get as boring as the bunker locations. The original Pyro system could have been something interesting. A place where the ship needs to be specifically outfitted just to survive in open space, then the player will also need special suits just to be able to land on the planet to explore. But when they do explore and find resources, they are super valuable. In the new setup of Pyro it is just stanton without the crime stats. And since crime stats are insignificant for players who are already pirates, pyro is going to play almost identical to stanton. Yawn.
Mirror Universe... and I'm not sure I want a Pyro system yet- I'd like more upscale systems soon. I want to dine with the Aristocracy, not dig in the mud with the (eww.) Peasants!
Excellent point on the new pyro being a mirror universe of Stanton. Still not sure how much time I'm going to spend their but it's getting more and more space dad friendly.
When they made it so you could land anywhere (rather than only at designated landing zones), that changed the game so much that anything said before that change was made should be considered suspect, and likely to be wrong. When you had to create a landing zone to allow landing, and if you didn't, then you couldn't land ... making lore reasons there wasn't a landing zone was a simple cost-saving measure -- you don't have to represent the effects on the surface, landing just isn't an option for players. Now, people can go down there anyway, without a landing zone -- so you have to make whatever the reason is that people can't be down there actually happen, and that means making an entire technology to keep players out. All of a sudden it's cheaper to take the tech you do have (which will all come from Stanton at this point because there literally isn't anywhere else...) and reskin it to "pirate flavour" rather than "corporate flavour" and *bam*, that's why Pyro is a mirror universe version of Stanton, with everyone playing out the same roles but dressed in different clothes and speaking in different accents.
The thing is, the gameplay is not there for a pyro lawless barren system. We need refuel beacons for one and carrier ships like the kraken to be flyable

dead game. bad news is its a scam. My friend applyed for full refund. Theyre not do it, the cig anwswer was : no refund after 30 days and he is waay beyond that.
